Have been a few times and NEVER disappointed. This last time was just for their Cider Cocktails and reminded us it's a Bar and Grill. Amazing food and amazing drinks. What more could you ask for?

Cracking burger, starter and dessert along with a great couple of ciders to boot! Little gem in the high street with a wide ranging menu. Very friendly with a nice atmosphere.
We had porters delivered yesterday evening and it was the best food I have had in a long while!
I went for the ultimate burger as I thought I should go all in for the first time trying Porters. So often there are big claims from restaurants about their food but this did not disappoint.
The burger was juicy and so tasty, the onion ring was perfect, the batter was light and really flavourful, it was cooked to perfection, the roll was wonderfully soft, the flavour of the mushroom mixed with the cheese and mustard mayo just finished it off perfectly.
I wasn't expecting it to be quite as big as it was, and struggled to eat it all. It was definitely great value for money that's for sure! The chips were some of the best chips I've ever encountered and the packing that it all came in tied the perfect takeaway experience up in a neat little bow!
The staff at porters should be very proud of the food they are creating there. We will definitely be back and I cannot wait.
I literally can't say enough good things about the food at this place. It has got to be one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in my life. The menu isn't huge, but they cater for vegetarians and vegans so no one is left out. The cider cocktails are delicious and truly original. The only tiny complaint I have is the air con was on very strongly so I got a bit cold, but apart from that it was fantastic. Not so fancy that you don't feel relaxed, but nice enough that if you dress up you don't feel out of place.
Delicious take away delivered for only £2 in excellent recyclable packaging which kept the food hot. Meat and vegetarian burgers tasty and filling, lovely crisp chips and gorgeous cheesecake. Looking forward to trying extensive restaurant menu as looks great for meat eaters/vegetarian/vegan.
Dined here last night with some friends for a catch up and quiet evening out.
Mistake.
The restaurant was packed(good for business, bad for modern day safety) and that alarmed us somewhat.
There was not room to move, if an evacuation had to happen it would be chaos.
The drinks took ages to arrive, even though we were asked for our order by two members of staff. The drinks came out individually for some reason too.
The food was ok, starters were very small and the burger was mediocre tbh.
I had a very nice evening with friends but the dining experience was memorable for the wrong reasons.
Staff were very polite.
