Best KPortal Reviews
My friend wanted to try this place so we made the journey there, safe to say it was absolutely worth it! We got the almond croissant, pistachio and rose croissant and chocolate babka. My favourite was definitely the pistachio croissant, loved the buttery croissant, the generous pistachio filling and the touch of rose! The chocolate babka was also super soft and oozing with chocolate. Would love to go back and try other things when I’m in London again!
You know I’m slightly perplexed at how I managed to walk past this place so many times and completely miss it as it’s a really nice cafe! I can’t speak for the coffee as I didn’t order one, but the cinnamon bun (pictured) was really really nice. I put it in the oven and even my flatmate came out to say how nice it smelled. The cinnamon bun also had notes of chocolate to it which I thought was a nice touch. I would gladly recommend this to anyone walking by. The only thing I would point out to the owners themselves is that the set up of the actual cafe feels slightly odd. Specifically, there’s just a lot of empty space which I think could be fixed with a different placement of the tables.
I came three days in a row for their croissant
I don’t know why I love it. Do you know when you eat something and you enjoy every bite of it?!
The coffee is decent
The furniture needs urgent update
I go to A LOT of bakeries and the stuff I got from here are among the best baked goods I’ve tried from any London bakery. Beautifully laminated, full of flavour, fresh, syrupy…the cinnamon buns and babka in particular. The Crumble cake and Apple Turnover were also incredible.
Excellent bakery!
I arrived just 15 minutes after opening, and the selection was somewhat limited at that time—pain au chocolat, cinnamon bun, and almond croissant. I opted for the almond croissant, and it was still warm from the oven ???? as I stayed for my breakfast, I saw how more pastries arrived to the stall so probably it’s best to come after 9 at weekdays.
There's a rustic craftsmanship vibe when observing the croissants; they vary in size and shape. While I can't speak for other shapes, the one got was excellent—very flaky with a classic frangipane filling.
Highly recommend it, and it's more budget-friendly compared to other artisan bakeries in the area. I just wish the atmosphere was a bit cozier as the space looks quite empty.
We were in the area and just wanted to find somewhere to grab a coffee. We had an almond croissant and some kind of banana and pecan pastry that I can’t remember the name of but it was genuinely incredible! Staff were really friendly too. Will definitely be going back the next time I’m in the area.
Great coffee and a lovely berry cake with hibiscus frosting.
Edit: Went back for the cinnamon buns and sourdough, both were scrumptious.
Super cozy bakery, flat white is only £3.10 which is GREAT for London prices and it also tastes amazing.
Pain au chocolat was also very fresh (in the afternoon) and full of chocolate chips.
