Perfect for self catering. Brilliant kitchen, very spacious, has tea, coffee, etc. Lovely bottle of wine when we arrived.
Great bathroom facilities. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Slightly odd choice of "art". Not a issue, just rather funny!
Would definitely come again, and highly recommend to people looking for a self catered accommodation. Owners have been very responsive and pleasant to interact with.
We stayed in the Dalzie Apartment, which is a self catering one bedroom apartment just outside of Portree. LOVED IT! PERFECT!!! It was so nice having a little apartment to relax in after hiking all day on Skye. The bed was very comfortable, with top quality linens. The bathroom is huge. It has a soaking tub, and a separate shower. Full kitchen with eating area and small sitting room for watching The Adventure Show with Graham McNeish! The best part was the washer and dryer!! I particularly appreciate an immaculately clean surrounding, and this was it. Everything was sparkling. Ben was the perfect host, making sure all was well. We loved our visit and would highly recommend. I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else! Thank you so much!!
We stayed in Lochsie Cottage ||||Likes||Overall this was superb apartment 3 kms outside Portree was in a tranquil setting. It faced a central garden with a range of spring flowers and there was table and chairs at the front and back where there was also a garden. You could also walk down to a large walled garden part of the main house. The apartment was very light and spacious. The kitchen was very modern with a washer dryer and a dishwasher and fully equipped. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath and the products were highly reputable `Highland Soap Company. Ben managing agent was very empathic particularly when we lost the front door key - it was not an issue and thankfully it was not a security key On observing the numerous generic look alike B&B dominating the outskirts of the town we were pleased with our choice||There was detailed regular information prior to our arrival ||||||Dislikes · The ironing board needs a padded cover. The bed itself was comfortable although a bedroom that size you would expect a king bed.The duvet itself and pillows were off poor quality and need attention The cushions on the two sofas were natural feather down but had disintegrated so they had no shape and although the sofas were in good condition you sunk into them and there was no firmness These are minor annoyances but when you are staying three nights you notice this in terms of level of comfort but comfort is important when you are paying £250 per night||It does help if a managing agent can meet you to go through in person the setup of the cottage - these are the little details which separate one place from another.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a charming host who Showed us to our room. The room was large and luxurious with a lovely private bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. The property has a beautiful walled garden to explore and a large lounge perfect for relaxing. We felt like we had our own private estate to stay in while exploring the Isle of Skye! Highly recommend staying here ... you will not be disappointed.
Stayed 2 nights, clean and comfortable room. Linens were good quality. Towels were large and soft. We found the room very warm but the windows could have been opened. Nice large sitting room available. Country setting, quiet and relaxing. Cold and hot choices for breakfast. Parking available house is about a 10 drive out of Portree.
It is a BEAUTIFUL Bed and Breakfast. Even though it was an early hour when we arrived, we have been very warmly welcomed by the owners and have been given a large, comfortable room, with an even larger bathroom. The whole house has a country chic furnishing and decor, little sophisticated details that really make the difference. Everything is spotless.||I could not praise enough this cosy and friendly establishment. A real treat and we will definitely go back as we regretted not having taken more time to fully enjoy the place and the surroundings. Delicious, champion breakfast. You can really feel the love the owners place in their profession.
Fabulous room (no.1); huge bathroom; amazing breakfast; great lounge! This really is a wonderful place to stay - I'd absolutely recommend it. A slight drawback, for me at least, is that it's almost 3 miles to central Portree, so not really walkable after a drink or dinner - but hey, its well worth the sacrifice! Stay here - you'll love it!
We stayed 3 nights in Peinmore house in August, and this was the nicest B&B of our trip. The rooms are very large and nicely furnished and breakfast was truly amazing. The hosts are very nice and the cat Toby is adorable.
