I am sure that the normal meals is above average due to te other reviews and it was lovely that it was open on Christmas day, alcohol was above average however now I am now out of compliments.
Turkey was below average, 1st boiled then roasted, double cooked isn't really my gravy ..which was far too thick.
Got knocked on the head over 5 times only 2 apologies. Customer service was below average hence I cannot add more than 1 star for this meal. Dessert was not correctly put together and the starter`s sauce was too potent.
I am not impressed, but happy that they tried very hard.
Used to love coming here but since the owner stepped back it's really gone downhill. I had prawn cocktail and a rainbow chicken but was severely ill with food poisoning. Will not be back
Ordered chef's special chow mein and received unsalted chow mein with gravy. Is this a Scottish thing?
Checked reviews to try to find a decent Chinese takeout meal. Top rated closed on Mondays so ordered from here. It wasn’t good. Chow mein inedible, crispy chicken soggy - most went in the bin.
excellent service,staff are always polite helpful and clean. restaurant is clean light and airy,food is good quality,excellent value for money and big portions.the toilets need updating badly .Barbara the boss is very helpful and pleasant and always takes time to stop and talk to all her customers. the menu has plenty of choice would recommenced this restaurant to all of my friend and family.
If i was to give stars for my meal it would be a one star the curry sauce was so sickly and sweet I couldn't finish my meal which was gutting salt and chilli chips did have alot of flavour but so soggy, we ordered onion rings they were spot on. my partner loved it said was the best meal he had in a long time he'd have it again I wouldn't first time trying here as our usual one was closed.

Ordered some food for collection, very disappointed!
Chicken noodle soup, tasted ok but only 3 thin pieces of chicken and a spoon full of noodles.
Singapore fried rice. Well I was given Singapore vermicelli, didn't taste nice at all, meat quality very poor, threw it away after one spoon full. And I've never thrown Chinese food away before!
Sweet and spicy crispy shredded beef... Not spicy, not crispy and I'm kinda tempted to say not beef! Texture was not right for beef and the crispy bit was a soggy bit.
Chips and curry sauce... Standard Chinese chips and curry sauce. No issue there.
I will say though, the staff seemed genuinely lovely.
