It is with sadness i write this review i have been a good customer over the years and have enjoyed many a lovely pasty here, but in the last 6 months i noticed the pasties have not been as nice as usual, putting it down to a bad batch or off day i swept it under the carpet, (not literally), thinking oh well they must not get it right 100% of the time, fair enough i thought, and after going for my next one well yours truly was not impressed my brothers, the standard was off again bluh bluh, not enjoyable, trying to put the last one aside and once again the exciting journey to purchase a once stunning pasty, and oh dear, what has happened, well i had a little break been away and just recently thought, i know, i will have one of these pasties, this time i went for a medium, thinking it would be a fair gamble, but oh my brothers how could this be, the pastry was hard, i have always loved the flakey pastry here, its what distinguishes it from the rest in my opinion, but oh no, hard pastry looking out at me from the bag and i paid £3.85 for a medium, well i got stuck in it burnt my mouth with every bite accept the last bit, it was dry, the meat was grissley, chewey, and slightly pink, i had to spit some meat out, i hated it, but somewhere inside me a part of me refused to accept the fact that this would be the last time, what a shame, as i have said it has been a joy to eat the pasties here in the past, but this is the end of the line for me thankyou for many years of nice pasties.
Right have to say the pasties from here we’re out of this world, absolutely amazing.
If and when I go back down to that part of the UK I will be visiting and WILL be bringing back loads of pasties to freeze. I even wanted to eat the bag it came in. Also I only have one left in my freezer and I don’t know when I’ll have that as I know I will be sad when it’s gone ????????
Best pasty in Cornwall,no probaly in the UK. Its my once a week treat... Always good and tasty. They have loads of other food to eat and plenty of drinks
Very friendly staff nothing is too much trouble for anyone who is lucky enough to go to this great place for a real treat ????

Best pasties in St Austell with a lovely friendly service.
Great selection of home made products like pies, black pudding, and homemade sweet treats like brownies, rocky road and millionaire slices. Big selection of drinks, crisps and big brand chocolate bars.
Regular customer of near 17yrs and even my little one loves them.
This remains the best butcher's shop for miles. Highest quality meats, excellent pasties and friendly knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.

I've always recommended these pasties, but unfortunately the last twice we've had them they haven't been cooked enough, not a fan of hard veg I'm afraid! Everything thing else is great though.
Pearce's pasties were always the best,not no more sadly. Seems you may have a new cook,there's barely any meat in them it's all potato and hardly any seasoning and swede. Shame
