Went tonight awful dark hard chips I think re heated from dinner time (awful )couldn't eat them ...if you want fish and chips expect them to be mushed together with batter and all tastes the same !! I hate their chips anyway !!they don't resemble chips???? I Went for someone else !!! and one woman is always rude with a face like a slapped bum .. no customer service what so ever they used to have pride in their product but now you get what ever raw chips ,.thick clumped together ie balls of batter , not much batter chips and Ok chips Bit hit and miss .... every photo on here is different ..point taken
I like the battered chips. Has always been excellent quality fish and chips and have been many times. Always been friendly to me.
Not very friendly could not be bothered attitude and chips are battered worst chips I've ever had as in photo I left most of them.

Visited Paul's place tonight to grab dinner for the kids, staff seemed nice enough. Why on earth do you batter your chips? They're awful! And looking at our reviews a lot if people think the same. Otherwise food was good. Only accept Cash which seems a bit out of date.
Paid £10.80 for regular fish and chips with a large chips and two sausages, the chips were covered in fish batter like they were cooked together and the chips were really Fatty, we only popped in as it was on the way to the holiday camp. Not a very pleasant meal!
I wish I read the reviews before going here, but it was just a convenience whilst on holiday.
Why have they decided to cover their chips in batter, the only thing I believe it adds to them is the ability to hold more grease, the paper was drenched with it when we plated the food up.
As far as I'm aware there were no obvious signs to say they were covered in batter.
Another issue was they were cash only, not sure if it was just last night or if its a permanent thing, it was lucky I carry some hidden away cash on me.
The staff were friendly.
Always friendly and polite!! Family run and very welcoming. The chips are great if you like batter on your chips! All the food is fresh and delicious!! Clean, efficiently run and just a great chippy in my humble opinion.
