Excellent pharmacy with really exceptional customer service. They went out of their way to help source an item for me and couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you so much!
Great pharmacy with exceptional service. The pharmacist and the pharmacy assistants are very knowledgeable and eager to help. Lucky to have this pharmacy on our doorstep
Best chemist in Edinburgh by far! Staff knowledgeable and customer service second to none. Well stocked and if nothing in stock they will endeavour to get in next day.
What a difference from nearby Lloyds in Bruntsfield who claimed items were out of stock when their website showed they were in stock. I switched to Paton & Finlay and they promptly delivered the items which Lloyds failed to. They really looked after me. Highly recommended.
In general, a well stocked and good value pharmacy with a delightful aesthetic. However one of the assistants has terrible communication skills, and regularly gets the names of products, measurements, and ingredients wrong. This isn't a one off, I've been going for nearly a decade.
In the most recent case, she insisted that phenylephrine was pronounced "phenylephedrine" — basically a portmanteau word of phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine, a far more powerful decongestant. As I am particularly sensitive to pseudoephedrine this is an important distinction. She claimed this was a different way of pronouncing it, but has added a whole new syllable! She is fairly short tempered, so luckily I was able to communicate with the pharmacist when she stormed off.
She will also look for lactose tablets if you ask for lactase tablets. Luckily lactose tablets aren't a thing so the danger is low.
She does seem to be good at communicating with regulars about their holidays etc while you're waiting behind them to be served though.
Great local pharmacy with amazing staff who really go the extra mile - had a precipitation that wasn't in stock and with supply issues too. The pharmacist called up the medical practice to speak with my GP to arrange for a different medicine to be prescribed. Class service, and will be using them solely from now on!
Incredible pharmacy. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Yaz (pharmacist, sorry if spelling wrong) goes out of his way to help. Nothing is too much bother. He will research drugs for you, liaise with your GP if any issues with meds etc. i tried to get fertility drugs (private prescription) from Boots last Sunday - Paton and Finlay closed). I tried several branches of Boots and they were abrupt, unhelpful and told me if they could get the drugs they wouldnt be in for 3 days. Spoke to Jax next day and within 3 hours he had ordered and received the drugs. Best chemist by far.
Excellent friendly professional service
