Best KPortal Reviews
Lucky find while we were out in the area. Great choice of savoury and sweet pancakes, large list of teas/coffee and drinks. The couple who own and run it were lovely. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area but I would advise to ring ahead and book as a small cosy place with only a few tables. You won’t find it just driving along the road but if you want something different for lunch it’s not to be missed. If/when I am back in the area I will be heading to the pancake barn.
Second time being here and it didnt disappoint! Friendly owner and staff, varied menu whether you like sweet or savoury and quick service. The pancakes were absolutely delicious. Great coffee and amazing hot chocolate. The tearoom itself is lovely and cosy. Definitely be back again!
Fantastic hosts
Our holiday cottage host recommended this and you would not know it is their going past on the road.
The menu has a variety of dishes from savoury to sweet.
The pancakes and the hot chocolate is the best I've ever had.
I had biscotti and banana pancakes and they was divine....
Pancakes with biscotti sauce and crumb with bananas
My friend had the Berry eton mess version and she said it was delicious.
I also had the white hot chocolate and again so delicious. A white hot chocolate with biscotti sauce and crumb
Will be going back next year when we are on holiday as this is a hidden gem.
Advisable to book in advance as this is only a small place but its lovely having a small cabin and is dog friendly and also outside seating area
A beautiful setting that's for sure. We had to wait 45 minutes to be served the food however coffee was served within the first 15 minutes meaning it was cold by the time the food arrived. These are not pancakes they are definitely thin crepes but we're quite nice.
Very nice and hidden tearoom with georgeous hot chocolate and tasty pancakes, sweet and savory for lunchtime. You can feel the love and effort in every of their meals. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Limited seats inside make it very comfortable, for good weather there is more space outside.
Stunning find. Lovely laid back setting, delicious food & drinks and very friendly and accommodating staff - especially Ashley who couldn't have worked harder to make sure our impromptu visit was perfect. Sitting inside or out is pretty special but make sure you have your smidge if sitting outside and maybe a wee citronella candle. I would recommend booking as this place is busy without signage and will only get busier as word spreads.
We absolutely love visiting here, we make a point of taking our friends and family whenever they are visiting to let them share the experience, Mike and Linda are fabulous hosts and nothing is to much trouble for them, I’m vegetarian and I can vouch for the fact that there is plenty of options for us veggies, Mike hot choc masterpieces are something everyone should have have at least once in their lives, the dark hot chocolate with salted caramel in my humble opinion is the very best! The barn itself is beautiful, it’s cosy with a lovely atmosphere…. You really can’t come to North West Highlands and not visit the pancake barn and tearoom ❤️
A little gem of a find. Owners were the best. Nothing too much trouble. The food is freshly cooked and delicious. Highly recommend but suggest you book in advance if you wish to eat in. (Takeaway available).
My partner was taken away by the co-op clock with the train ????
