Certainly a questionable recent MOT on a car I purchased recently. No advisories and clean MOT, though upon getting a safety inspection 1000 miles later on the car, brake disc thickness and pads were considered very unsafe and should have picked up a long time ago.
I understand it is down to discretion, but this kind of information is imperative for when a car is being sold on a bought.
Took my car in for an MOT, all the repair was done really quickly, for a good price and they waited for me to collect my car when they were due to close. Really honest, helpful, decent garage. Will be going back here!
Used this garage for MOT 3 years running, the last 2 times the car has been failed for incorrectly diagnosed problems which cost a total of £150 to replace / check. This year the car failed on inner track rod ball ends, something I've never encountered in 33 years of car MOT's, and rightly so, there was nothing wrong with them!
I will not be using the garage again and certainly wouldn't recommend them.
In my opinion they're con merchants.
Looked at my car straight away & repaired the exhaust within a couple of hours. Excellent service & very helpful.
I've used Ouse Valley Autos for over 20 years, since I was a car owner; they even found me my second car! My family has always used them too. Great guys, good service for a fair price. Note: I've known the owners all my life and my dad used to work with them.
