I'm finally getting around to reviewing after an outstanding Pudding Evening in December. I attended as a party of 4; me and a friend and my 2 daughters.

Where to even start....

The food was incredible, we had 10 desserts served to us and every single one was made to perfection. A favourite of mine has to be the crumble, I've never had one like it and can't wait to have it again.

My eldest daughter managed 8 of the 10 desserts, my friend around 5 and myself and my youngest a mere 3 between us (poor effort on both our part) but the hosts were more than happy to supply us with boxes to take away anything we hadn't managed.

The staff were all lovely, with 2 in the kitchen who popped out a few times to see how everyone was enjoying the evening and a lovely Welsh lady serving us our drinks and desserts and nothing was too much trouble for her.

The atmosphere was cosy and intimate. The lights were low and string lights lined the beautifully set table. I think there were around 15 guests and although we were all on one long table, it was easy to separate yourselves into your own group if you wanted to.

We spent the evening playing charades (from the Christmas crackers provided), chatting and laughing as if we were at our own table at home.

Thank you Once Upon A Tea Room for a truly magical night and perfect start to our festive season!

Went to Once upon a tea room at the weekend. On first glance they looked closed but then a lady came to the window and said they were open for takeaway.

We had an amazing millionaires brownie with a hot Chocolate that tasted amazing, the best hot chocolate i have ever had.

My son is dairy free and wanted a piece of cake to, however they had run out.

The lady serving us said she would just go and check out the back. When she returned they had some cake but it had not been put out yet so he had a piece of delicous vegan chocolate cake.

They also out some marshmallows in a bag for him as the cake was not iced.

5 * service, extremely kind people. Will definitely be back again.

First time ever having afternoon tea. Great little place with great tea and food. Would greatly recommend! Staff were very accommodating with my wife's dietary needs. 6☆☆☆☆☆☆.

Our table was ready for arrival and the food was great and well presented. Lovely touch of a birthday cake, too. Staff friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend and would definitely return. Thank you once upon a tea room.

Been coming to Once Upon A Tearoom for years with my whole family. We’ve had beautiful sit in teas, one for my baby shower, a few of the gingerbread decorating at Christmas, wreath making ones, cupcake decorating and a beautiful 1st birthday spread too. We’ve also had many take away afternoon tea boxes, a few in lockdown when we couldn’t all be together, home delivered to us which cheered us up, and many together to celebrate birthdays over the years. Sophie and her team have always taken the time to get to know my family and all of our specific dietary requirements, and always cater for us with no problems at all. It’s the only place we know we can go where we won’t all struggle to eat with me being a fussy eater, and my mum and my sister being vegetarian. My beautiful birthday cake this year also came from here. Couldn’t recommend the tearoom, the service, the food, and everything about it, enough. Also, enjoyed our cake from the window yesterday, and can’t wait for my wedding cake later in the year from here!

Lovely tea rooms, beautifully decorated third time visiting, cake selection a bit lacking compared to previous times. Was also only able to book a 12.30 sitting yet the place was empty even when we left around 2pm so would have preferred a bit later.

I've been to Once Upon A Tea Room multiple times and always have a a fantastic time. Most recently we went for a Christmas afternoon tea and then a takeaway pudding club and both were fabulous. The atmosphere and service in the tea room are always wonderful, and the food is spectacular. They cater for all manner of dietary requirements as long as you give them notice and I know many people who have said their dairy and gluten free scones are some of the best they've ever had! You pay a reasonable price for really yummy food, a lovely setting, and there's always something a little different on the menu but it absolutely pays off! I can't recommend this place highly enough and often point people in its direction.

We held a baby shower at once upon a tea room for our friend and it was such a great venue. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they set up our decorations for us beautifully and catered to our requirements without any issues. Highly recommend!
