10/10! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Finally a reliable, trustworthy garage that isn’t out to rip you off and take advantage of your lack of knowledge. I used to go to another garage much closer to me that were always good and then a couple of years ago I had an MOT done and they wanted to charge me over £800. I’d been recommended this garage by a friend and took my car the 45 minute drive from Medway to Phil at Oaks for a second opinion and am so pleased I did. Excellent customer service, very informative and took the time to explain my options and what was needed and what wasn’t. The previous garage wanted me to change a couple of tyres and all 4 brake discs and pads but Phil showed me that the discs and tyres were well within the legal limits and had a couple of years left in them and only the brake pads and some welding needed doing immediately. I ended up saving over £600 by using these guys. I’ve been using them ever since and every time they’ve been excellent. I’ve now recommended them to many friends and family who have all been equally impressed. I don’t generally post online reviews (unless I’m really annoyed) but these guys deserve to get credit for what they’re doing. If only other garages would take a leaf out of their book.
(I can only think the few negative reviews here have indeed mixed up their garages as their service and prices are both truly excellent and I really don’t think they would rip anybody off. They even suggested ways for me to save money albeit losing money themselves!)
I had a great, stress-free experience with this garage!! they talked me through what needed to be repaired on my car and why it was leaking oil.
everything was clearly explained and they were thorough and reassuring.
I will definitely be visiting Oaks again when its time for my MOT
Fantastic garage with friendly staff who go above and beyond to help. My car broke down with clutch failure so Phill and his team came out straight away to recover it and replaced the clutch, I also asked if they could give it a service and replace the brake pads whist it was there. They did this with no problem and delivered it back to me within 2 days. They kept me updated the whole time and I couldn't have asked for better service, thanks guys!
After an unspeakably poor experience with Servicing Stop, Oaks were able to get my car through its MOT at a very good price in minimal time. What really sets Oaks apart is its customer service, which is far beyond that of which you would typically expect from a garage. Great service and I would highly recommend.
Never been more disappointed! Arrived at the garage on a pre-booked oil service, some time before advertised 8:30 garage opening. At 08:30 the reception door was found to be locked and another 10 minutes passed before somebody appeared from a parked car, who asked if I was dropping off keys and took mine, as I needed to get off to work. Leaving my business card and asking to be called when the car was ready to collect. With no call by 16:10 and aware of 17:00 garage closure, I rang the garage only to reach the answer machine, so headed the 25-30 minute journey to collect the car before it was too late. Arrived at 16:35 to see the car outside the garage, with 3 guys stood talking, with one (appearing the senior), leaning against my car door! I may have been abrupt, with the lack of phone call and annoyed at lake of respect to my car but was surprised by the offish response when I asked if the car was finished and also why I was not called, especially with the time nearing end of their business day, To add insult to injury, I was further disappointed with this garage, discovering an engine management light on in the dah display, something not present prior to the service work. This needing my return to the garage and greeted with even less 'customer care' attitude than the previous appearance, with a certain lack of communication. Diagnostics was carried out and fault rectified. I then had to ask if the remedial work was concluded before reentering and restarted the car. I was just pulling away when asked by the senior technician, 'why did I not use a service centre nearer to me", upon my reply, stating it was a lease vehicle and I was instructed to use Oaks Vehicle Service, the technician's reply was "we won't see this car here again", here I applaud this chap at the ability to read my mind! Other complaints include seat position adjustment during the service appearing not trying to return to my preferred position post service and also surprised to find unit readings in the dash in kilometres rather than miles.With over 30 years driving experience and garage services used, never before have I had the displeasure to write a negative review, however I felt this needed to be shared.
stay away. my daughter booked her car online via service stop which they took to oaks garage for the work to be done. although i advised my daughter to take her car to my local garage that wanted to charge £30 more than what she was quoted online for here mot and service with oaks, but she wanted to save money long story short when she got a call they wanted astronomical money for the mot repairs and all they done on the full service was replace the oil not even the air filter , so i took the car back to my local and they done all the work for less than half the price. never trust that garage or service stop untrustworthy
my wife booked her car for a service while i was away at work with (service stop garage) who passed to oaks service centre, when i got back she told me what nightmare it was and she had concerns if they even replaced anything considering the ill phone manner from garage and she refused the extra work. as i work for a transport company i decided to take the car to work and ask one of the guys to check what they done more like what they havent done nothing, i was shocked to be told the oil filter, oil and air filter never been changed and we paid for a full service i even sent pictures of the parts they meant to have changed and they still deny ! stay well clear from both service stop and oaks vehicle service centre con artists
brilliant - trustworthy and fuss free - do not feel ripped off, had my car collected and returned no hassle only regret is that i used a different company to book so my tip would be book direct with the garage itself. Deffo will use again
