Fabulous little cafe near the Castle Eden Dean car park (which is free) , missed out on the famous apple cake, which looked delicious ????, by 15 seconds. But got one of their home made fruit scones with clotted cream, warmed with jam. Lovely. Staff very friendly, dogs allowed. Definitely pop in if your in the area. Fabulous walk too..
Excellent place to stop for coffee or food after a walk in the dene. Great service and friendly staff highly recommend. A+
My daughter Melissa suggested going here and so pleased we did I had cream scone and jam only £2.50 EVERYTHING is home made .I went back a few days later with my wife and friend we had the meat pies ???? proper pies packed with mince ???? delicious. Then lovely area for a walk after to burn the calories.
We popped in after a long walk with our dog. We had a light lunch. We both opted for a quiche salad and cappuccino. Before we left we noticed a lovely chocolate cake which we had to try. It all tasted lovely. It was very good value so not expensive. Well worth a visit after a walk or even before. Excellent service and friendly place.

I was recently treated to an afternoon tea by my friend and we came to these tea rooms. The afternoon tea was fantastic considering I have dietary requirements which made it a bit more difficult than usual for them. They went way beyond my expectations and nothing was too much trouble. There was so much we both had a takeaway box. I had extra scones too which was a bonus. I would highly recommend this tea room and will visit again with my family.
After a walk it was a good place to sit and have a drink. The cheese scone was not the best but it was eatable.
Excellent all round. Lovely friendly staff & nothing too much trouble. Food & drinks excellent & all very reasonably priced .
