We all ate well: children and grown ups. Sat in a Booth in the cellar. I had the veggie monsieur which was delicious as was the mozzarella and pesto. Kids had bacon and egg. Lovely bread. I tried a beetroot latte and had a delicious Earl Grey tea. All very good quality and attentive service. The place itself is delightful. We'd like to come back for a bottle of wine!
We came in for a mocha coffee and were completely blown away.
Best coffee in Hertford by far! The latte art really impressed us and then the coffee and chocolate itself…delicious!
Also really reasonably priced with a great cosy ambiance to catch up with friends.
Look forward to visiting this spot again and trying the food.
No5 is an absolute gem within Hertford - the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming; the food and drink selection second to none. And to top it off Dave makes the whole experience! Truly a great place to visit for a bite, a drink or a chat!
I thought we had enough cafes in Hertford but I've been proven wrong. The owners have a great eye for creating a small welcoming space that feels like a rustic french cafe. Simple snacks but high quality ingredients. Coffee is top notch and recently had freshly made French onion soup which was delicious
I was walking past this little cafe after my hair cut on this chilly Saturday morning. I decided to pop in and see whats on offer.
The gentleman working here is very kind and friendly. I asked for a chai latte and he carried it over for me…my god, best chai latte I’ve had so far! Lovely and cosy little place. Also, great taste in music. Really got my vibes going this morning. I even went home and helped my mrs clean the house, that says something.
10/10….Highly recommend.
Spotted this new coffee shop last weekend and got to try it out this morning. I'm fussy with coffee but can genuinely say this is the best in Hertford! Topped off with welcoming and friendly service, great music and a wonderful atmosphere. The whole experience of Friday morning (end of work week) coffee out was taken to a new level. What a great place to start the weekend!
Best music, ambience and croquet monsieur in Hertford, owners are not to bad either ????.
Until now, putting a brewery in the middle of our town probably ranks as one of the best decisions anyone has ever made in Hertford.
Until, that is, the owner, chef and gastrogenius of No 5 Eat & Drink made the inspired decision to put CRISPY streaky bacon in a baguette with sausages.
You should go try it.
It might just be the best decision you ever make.
