Take away/Take out only place. Attendant seen annoyed we ask questions. We order Fried rice, steak and pepper, chicken curry and chicken chop suey. The curry was ok chicken was spongy. The chic6chop suey was horrible and rice was almost inedible. Tasted like has been reheated several times. The best one was the steak and peppers. Al gave this place a try because of the reviews. I you are use to USA stile Chinese Take out stay away from this place.
Avoid the fried rice! Just not good. The duck was great however, and I enjoyed the corn soup as well. Fast from counter service to pick up. Easy to grab quick groceries at the coop next door during your ten min wait. Can eat in the park across the street on a nice day.
Absolutely revolting. Probably the worst Chinese I've ever tasted. Ordered the beef in oyster sauce and it literally tasted of a sweated out carrot. Bland.
Save your money and get an Indian or cook yourself.
One of the tastiest sweet n sours we have had to go along with one of the toughest BBQ spare ribs we have ever had that would have been maybe 2 stars if they tasted ok but the did not. Chicken satay was rather tough n chewy, I think it had been defrosted and heated too long in the microwave. I feel sorry for the people of Ballater if they are stuck with this Chinese.
Gave them a year hoping they would improve but no they are still one of the poorest Chinese takeaways I have had the mistake of trying more than once.
Food seemed nice enough, however woke up this morning to discover my vegetable spring rolls actually contained chicken. Considering the whole meal was supposed to be vegetarian this is incredibly off putting. I’ve spent this morning being sick thanks to this. If you have dietary requirements or food allergies make sure to avoid this place.
We're visitors to Ballater, and.we really enjoyed our meal. The chow mein in particular was lovely!
During our stay in Ballater we decided to try out the local Chinese Takeaway as many places are still reduced due to the current pandemic. we ordered starters and main-courses for 5 adults so quite a spread and I have to say this is probably one of the best Chinese Takeaways we have had for a very long time. All food was very hot when delivered and so tasty. The Squid was cooked to perfection which is always a good test to any restaurant. When we are back in Ballater next for sure we will come back and already looking forward to a fab meal. Staff was very friendly.
Fast and friendly service. Roast duck was perfectly crispy and plum sauce was very nice. Great salt and chili chips as well - not too soggy or salty like a lot of other chineses
