We booked for Sunday roast as it was local to our weekend stay and to be honest I did it more for convenience as it didn’t appear to be the sort of place we normally go but I saw the reviews were very good.
We were very pleasantly surprised to have a lovely meal. I think the fact they only do roasts on a Sunday means they can make everything perfectly. My husband thought his beef would be tough but he said it melted in his mouth. All our vegetables were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The meal was served quickly and there was plenty of food. Also really pleased to see they do small plates.
All in all we would certainly come back if in the area again.
We went with some friends for lunch. I am gluten-free, and the choice on the menu was exceptionally good. I would certainly recommend it and will be visiting again.
Great little village pub serving a varied and generous portioned menu. Excellent range of drinks. Brian and the young lady that served us all evening were lovely. Highly recommended place to visit and support.

Lovely pub, with great hosts, nice Guinness and delicious food. Fish pie was epic, with lots of lovely salmon, smoked haddock and prawns. The missus steak pannini was rather good too. Well recommended!
Today I and 2 friends went to The New Inn Folkingham for a late lunch. We decided to try the steak and ale pie. I have never had a pie like this one. There were huge hunks of tender tasty beef cooked to perfection. It was absolutely delicious and if you visit this pub and it’s on the menu, I can heartily recommend it. It’s a first class pie 5 ⭐️ And if the Haddock and chips are anywhere as good as this, that’s going to be the next meal I try. All in all it made a wet and miserable day excellent.

Lovely Sunday roast. We had heard good things about the New Inn so we were looking forward to visiting. We were not disappointed, the welcome was friendly and the service was great. As it was Sunday, the menu was limited to 3 starters, a choice of beef or pork roast dinner for mains and a variety of desserts. This wasn't an issue for us as we all love a Sunday roast. The food itself was great with very generous portion sizes everything was delicious. We all look forward to returning.
