Lovely restaurant on the first floor of the building. Decorated with Chinese regalia to enhance the experience.
Great service from lovely staff.
Food was very average and the Tsingtao beer tasted very wishy washy - like a catering version.
In the centre of Matlock an the first floor it's so nice to visit a Chinese restaurant. All very colourful,nice atmosphere and good service.Plenty of staff to help you ,no real waiting time and the food piping hot.I started with the soup then the king prawn curry,chips and rice and loved it.Just below you have the Derwent gardens,the river and the sights of Matlock.
Everything was great!
They had a great range of veggie/ vegan dishes, the food tasted fresh, it was served very hot and all round delicious! The service was friendly and efficient too.
Will be back if we are ever in the peaks again!
Terrible ! Tiny portions , the tray size is about a mug full of food!! So so salty I felt sick after. Chow main was noodles /beansprouts and soy sauce only. Chip are frozen chips. Sweet and sour was like red vinegar it made us shudder. Worst Chinese I've ever had and I've had 100,s ...
Came here 12 years ago & was very nice. Came today & the place needs a good clean & fresh pain work.. unfortunately the atmosphere was not good as there was a table with crying kids & kids iPads playing loudly, (use Bluetooth headphones).
The phone was non-stop ringing but they didn't seem to pick up, so that was irritating, food not bad.
The food my friends ordered looked and tasted great, really impressed!
But the Deep Fried Vegetable with Sweet and Sour Sauce I ordered just wasn't it, and I was very disappointed with it.
It was more of an appetizer than a meal.
My friends were apparently really good tho, so would absolutely try again with something different the next time we're in Matlock!
nice food ,music was at the right volume ,friendly staff but the place could do with a refurb and a good clean up
So, little Chinese restaurant in Matlock Bath, staff were really nice and friendly, typical Chinese menu and the food was really good. The decor is a little dated and the stairs and dining room carpets are in dire need of a clean.
