Came for Sunday dinner. Absolutely amazing. Massive portions. So much meat all fresh veg and home made roasted and Yorkshire pudding. Will definitely be back again. Thankyou
Really great experience here at the Nags Head, for the opening England game of the 2023 Six Nations. We came as a large group (12), hoping to find a pub in Carlton within walking-distance of our AirBnB and this was the closest — and they were really welcoming. The people at the bar were really helpful and attentive, and they let us use a side-room for the group of us so that we wouldn’t be too noisy for the other patrons.
Good selection of beers, gins, wines, and snacks. They even let us bring in some fish and chips from the nearby chippy.
Love this pub. Great pint of Guinness. Freindly staff and freindly locals. Also on a sunday. The dinners are the best. Bar none !!!!
Went for Sunday dinner today, it was absolutely gorgeous! Best Sunday roast I've had in ages! Meat was falling apart and tasted amazing! Definitely recommend! The kids dinner was also a very good size for kids and well priced!
My family arranged a surprise party for me in the upstairs room at this venue. What a fabulous room, décor is beautiful, size perfect for 50 to 60 guests. Nice touch was the delicious buffet which came to the tables on cake stands. Food kept coming out so stayed fresh. Price of drinks and room very reasonable. Staff helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend.
After attending hear with my 18 year old neice an other family members tonight I find the elderly male who Co owns this establishment is very rude to the point where he man handle my niece accusing her of bringing her own drinks etc.. even though we had spent a fair few hundred pounds between a family of 10 of us.
The elderly male the proceeded to physically removed a drink from a member of our group an poured it away an accusing of her being under age even though they been serving alcohol all night..it seems to me this male wouldn't approach any other male that was in our party but bullied the females within our group
Came for a birthday do lovely atmosphere reasonably priced
Ace landlords, ace staff, ace customers, fantastic food. Best Sunday roast I've had for a long time, and definitely best in Carlton for sure. Cooked with love. Well done Nags xx
