Good size portion but food quality and taste has gone down hill. Ordered cheesy chips and small fish. The cheese was a huge chunk of plasticy melted mess in the centre of the chips and couldn't even spread it, the fish was OK this time but only just because the chips were so awful. This place used to be so good but it's a waste of money nowadays. I don't know what's happened but the past year or two have got so bad I have to force myself to eat there and every time its just proving to me that I should go elsewhere or go without. A shame when your so hungry spend money for a rare treat and unable to eat the food and left disappointed and still hungry.
Got take out from here while visiting daughter.
A small portion of chips was more than enough for my husband and I. Daughter had chicken burger with chips and couldn't finish it. Brilliant value and very pleasant ladies who served us.

Being new to the area we tried mr chips and was supprised to find the kebab meat is very nice the chips are tasty but could do with being fried a little longer to make them browner. But overall

I have lived in the area for years and have always used this fish and chip shop and it has always been lovely, however the last few times I have been it has been terrible. I went about a month ago and the chips were old, brown and dry - I put it down to being close to the end of the night. I have just been this evening and assumed, as it was close to opening, that the food would all be fresh. However the chips again were old and brown and clearly yesterday's - the man after me got fresh lovely ones and I remarked that I would rather have those but nothing was done. I had three mini fish and a large - the large was no different in size- I was told it was the weight not size. As you can see, if anything it is slightly smaller. Finally 2 of the fish were freshly cooked- one was in the warmer, (I assumed from earlier in the evening) when I cut into that one it was brown and inedible. See the photo. I really liked the man who ran it before but I'm sad to say that I definately won't be back. I suggest you avoid.
Amazing service, staff very friendly and top quality chips!! My favourite chip place ever, i reccomend definately!
Very good chip shop. The only problem, as far as I'm concerned, is that they cook the fish with the skin on. Without that it'd get 5 stars.
