Took a 10 year old VW Golf to Motorbitz as it had a problem with the clutch. They carried out some basic checks and then advised that it would need a new clutch and replacement concentric slave cylinder. The man on the phone said that he had knocked a bit off of the labour costs from the total amount as it seemed to him a bit high on the labour costs. However the whole total for the work and labour still came in with a quote of £1063!
I have been able to get a quote from Mr Clutch in the city to have the same work done with a two year guarantee for £691.
I was then advised we would have to pay one hours labour charge for them to have had a basic look at the car which comes to £78 per hour!!! including VAT. This seems like a ridiculously high amount for a mechanic. I wouldn't be able to recommend this garage as their prices dont seem to be reasonable.

Poor service very rude had my vehicle for 3 days didn't even look at it. When they did i was told nothing wrong with it. But there smoke coming out of it.

The morning my MOT was due, my car snapped a coil spring. After waiting several hours for the RAC to tow me, I turned up at Motorbitz roughly 7 hours late. Within 60 seconds of explaining the situation, Eddie was on the phone and ordering me parts, and he and Roger jumped into action to fix my car, with excellent professionalism and fantastic customer service.
I live 17 miles away, and wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Motorbitz fit me in on incredibly short notice for an MOT. I dropped my car off at 9pm and had my car back to me by 7am the next morning. Outstanding service and I couldn't be more grateful

Booked my car in yesterday, I dropped the car off at 10:20 am and had it back at 17:00, the repair cost with MotorBitz was over £50 cheaper than the closest competing price I could find for the job. My car has been absolutely spot on since I got it back, MotorBitz do great work and get it done quickly. Thanks guys, will be returning in feature if the car goes boom again, since they love doing it so much ????
