This use to be my doctors when I was young my mum switched because of the poor medical care, I’m 20 now and I was referred by my doctors to them as they didn’t have appointments for me but wanted me to be checked, I went in nervous anyway, about lumps on my body and in my throat, I felt mocked by the doctor when I had to remind her to check my throat she tried to tell me smirking that it was my tonsils, I know what tonsils are where they are and how they look, you don’t need a medical degree for that, the lump was on the side of my throat clearly away form my tonsils and very clearly noticeable by myself and my family she still proceeded to tell me it was my tonsils and continued to smirk, I think doctors need to remember why they became medical professionals they just don’t care anymore, so many misdiagnoses have been made lately in bury area and I am now terrified that the lump is serious as it has been there for weeks, stay clear of this doctors better yet fly to a different country at this point, Englands medical care is severely impacting mortality and mental health. Disgusting.
So hard to get an appointment at this surgery, you have to call at 8am and you will be lucky if you get through and if you do they wont give you a face to face appointment it will be a phone consultation and even then they will fob you off and tell you to go to A&E! Absolutely awful .
Good walk in service; open from 7am during weekdays. Not sure about weekends.
Visited the first floor as an out of hours service
The lady at reception was so lovely, warm and welcoming. The wait was not long which was great. I was in a great deal of pain with and ear infection. There was once other patient ahead of me. After that patient had been seen, the doctor opened the door and did not address me by name to come in. I understand that I was the only patient waiting to be seen but as a professional myself I did find it rude. Anyway my husband and I proceeded to his office. First of all he had gloves on when he opened the door. The kept the same gloves on touching the computer and he went on his phone during the consultation. When it was time for him to assess my ears,
1. He did not clean the instrument used before and after contact with my ears
2. He did not clean his hands before and after making contact with my ears
3. He spent less than 2 seconds looking at each ear
He then went ahead to prescribe antibiotics. My husband and I had questions as I am pregnant and have concerns. Not only did he not show interest in answering the questions, he stood up and held the door open for us to get out while answering our question. While walking us out of the office he was at least 5 steps ahead of us, the whole consultation was so rushed. He still had the same gloves on.
We went to reception to ask a question and he started going down the stairs. He removed those gloves half way down the stairs. About a minute late he was back with what looked like a take away, therefore I’d like to assume that was the reason he
1. Went on his mobile phone during the consultation
2. Rushed the consultation
I’m not saying healthcare professionals should not eat while working, however patient care and health standards should not be compromised.
Can never get in to see a doctor, my friend tried and they tell her to use my GP when she can't use that service. She has been in pain for weeks and the receptionist today told her that it doesn't condole a doctors appointment. Who are they to say that especially when she already has a disability and finds some tasks difficult. Unacceptable that a receptionist can refuse you a doctors appointment no matter how much pain your in. No wonder A&E are under so much pressure
If her pains turns out to be something serious then I'd be very worried if I were them!
The dentist practice here is amazing, from Colette on reception to Melissa the dentist and every one else in between they are all fantastic. They are friendly, approachable and caring, they remember the little things that are going on in your life and never rush you. I have been here at least once a month for the last few years and I've never once had an issue!
Went to an out off hours appointment here today for my son, and couldn’t expect anything better, they were so kind and polite and we met a few members who worked there and they were just so kind hearted playing with my son to cheer him up while we waited to be seen, the docter was fantastic, saw my son and looked at him thoroughly and we was in and out within an hour and half unlike our own GPS , so thank you ????
After booking a appointment for a telephone consultation with a Doctor for Saturday I waited all day. I have been desperate to talk to a doctor . No one rang despite being told they would. I'm absolutely distraught. 8m in pain and I need advice What does one do to see or even talk to a doctor xx
