Myself and some friends went to try the special Kurdish pasties having seen them on Hairy Bikers. They are made of bread instead of pastry. I was intrigued and they were really good. I had the spicy one and a friend had the mild one. They really were fantastic. A bit of feedback for the owner. The outside of the shop doesn't look too good. Really needs a good clean because for a food establishment we nearly didn't go in. Maybe would be good to reduce all the notices on the windows too so you can see inside. Hope the feedback helps and thanks for the great food.
It's a character bakery and friendly owner! We had steak pie and lamb pie in the afternoon, (what's left) they all tasted lovely. Without artificial taste.
So we came back for the signature Kurdish pasty and olive flat bread and another steak pie next day early morning.????????
Thanks to the Hairy bikers North Wales TV program, that made our trip have different explore, Definitely come back again!????
As with most people these days, we popped in having seen Kurmang on Hairy Bikers Go West and we're glad we did. Not only is he a proper character, and loves a good chat, he's an amazing baker. We ordered 2 kurdish pasties, one spicy & one normal, and both were amazing. Yeah it's a little off the beaten track, but it's well worth making the effort. Just one word of advice, get there before 11am, or they'll be sold out.
Amazing bakery run by the nicest dude. Clearly super passionate about what he's doing and just an interesting chap all round. I had the vegan Kurdish pasties and the butternut squash pasties, both delicious. My friends also had a variety of different bits and said they were great. We came here pretty much every day during our trip here and will definitely be back when we next come down. He mentioned he does a vegan fudge cake in the summer so I'm super excited to try!
Mr Rashid was as delightful as the bread, pasties, and treats he makes and sells!
Very reasonably priced goods.
He sells goods stored from his freezer as well. The kurdish flat bread is delicious, defrosted for 2 hours, and warmed through for 10 minutes as instructed!
It's obvious how much Mr Rashid loves where he lives and the passion put in all the food he creates.
There are plenty of tasty treats for vegans and meat eaters alike! He has been creative with flavours in his pasties and enjoys letting you know what is available.
We will definitely be back!
If you want one of his famous pasties, you need to be there between 9-11 am as he sells out fast. It's a first come, first served bases... When they are gone, they're gone!!
Took a spicy Kurdish pasty home for our tea after a trip on the Ffestiniog railway. It was absolutely delicious! Service was brilliant. Thank you!
Had to try a Kurdish pasty after seeing the reviews, great size and delicious. Warmed us up in the delightful Welsh weather. Lovely chap
The Kurdish pasty is superb, genuinely one of the best things I have had the pleasure of eating in years.
