A very relaxing bar with an easy going owner Mike's is well worth seeking out, but a bit tricky to find. It's about a five minute drive or a twenty minute walk from the centre of Chiang Rai. If you're driving head towards the Phaya Mangrai Bridge and go down the service road to the left of the bridge and you'll make a u-turn under it and see Mike's on your left. If you're walking, take the service road on the right and it's the last building before the river.
Food (all western dishes) and drink are all at very reasonable prices. Mike is very welcoming and you'll feel very much at home. For somewhere a bit different to the bars in the centre of town it's certainly worth the effort of going that bit further. I'll definitely be back there on my next visit to Chiang Rai.
What a great little find this was, not easily visible. But what a great bunch inside. Mike was an awesome guy who has mastered the art of a cozy feel bar in which people can laugh and exchange stories. Met some amazing guys here who broadened my mind on Thailand. Will return to this bar and encourage others to do so as well, dont judge a book by its cover and you will be rewarded.
It's a great place to meet up with fellow ex patriots. Mike is a great guy and pool is free!
Stopped by for a quick beer and ended up staying all day. Mike even cooked us some chicken. Waitress is very nice.
this bar is a little.out the way and can be tricky to find but worth the effort. had many a good laugh here, very cool place to hang and chill away from all the hassle and bustle of the city center. highly recommend it!
Great little find, hard to find, but just ask google. Great spot to catch up for a few drinks & chill. Mike is very friendly & inviting & so is his staff. Mike offered to make myself & my hubby a ham & cheese toastie & it's one of the best I've had. If you're in Chiang Rai, I recommend you drop in. Thanks for a great night mike.
Fab place, great staff, welcoming great stock of beers, food amazing atmosphere amazing, brillant place to experience the thai hospitality. We fully recommend a visit, you will not be disapointed. Worth visiting in Chang Rai . 5 star
