Just what we needed on a wet Wednesday in Corbridge. Delicious, fresh food in a cute café. Recommended the mini afternoon tea, just enough and not too much. Staff very friendly.
Really nice, cozy tea room. Christine was very helpful and the ladies working there were amazing. Nice and clean. Afternoon tea was lovely. All freshly made and tasted great... Also dog friendly. My first experience of Corbridge and if that's anything to go by I'm going to miss leaving...
Beautiful cakes, great service and so friendly too
First reviewed this small tearoom 5 years ago and updating it now. Pre covid used to go regularly as food and staff are extremely nice and this is still the case - the scones in particular are fab. However the prices have increased very considerably now,for us anyway, and it is just too much for us now to be regulars.
Beautiful tearoom. Lovely food. Rude staff member. Ordered with a woman resembling Mrs . Overall never made eye contact Took my order for sandwiches and drinks I also ask for a scone to come after I had eaten my sandwich as I wanted it warm So that seemed fine and she took the order. Food came with the scone then as we were eating she switched the lights out and closed the windows even though it was incredibly close and warm so so rude she was obviously keen to get home and we left before it closed. Good food spoilt by offensive rude behaviour. My recommendation is to find a job you like maybe not involving paying customers !! Or take a course in customer care if learn some basic manners!!! Lovely calm airy café away from the hustle of the roads. Dog friendly which was really appreciated - come upstairs and sit on the comfy sofas by the open window to the little close behind the cafe, and enjoy the high wooden beamed ceiling and a nice light lunch and cup of coffee. Easy and stress free, freshly made food.
Heavenly tea, coffee and walnut cake. Mint hot chocolate and cheese scones. Delicious
