Some incredible views with the drone, but is a bit of a trek from everything. There’s no dedicated parking and the ground was really boggy when we walked there, so would wear wellies if it’s been wet recently. Worth seeing if you are nearby though!
A beautiful place to visit. Park just past the cattle grid on the side of the road and walk up the hill a short distance to see the stacks. A bit boggy in some places but not a problem for walking boots or old trainers! Make sure to keep away from the edge as there is a fence but it does not go all the way (so keep dogs and children very close by)
Enjoy the views!!!
Absolutely stunning views. You can park just near the cattle grid and walk up th other side to see the stacks from a different perspective. We got beautiful weather which made it that more stunning to see.
Absolutely spectacular!
Finding those proved to be a bit tricky. If travelling from the Mangesta beach direction, park on the left just after the cattle grid. Then walk along the road for a bit till you see a little sign “to the stacks”. Follow the trail for about 3 minutes and you’ll start seeing a few of them. If you go along the left of them, eventually you’ll get a view of them all.
We were lucky to see them just before the sunset - a breath taking experience!
If you drive to the stacjs there is very little parking and a small sign pointing across a slightly boggy footpath. You definitely need decent footwear and I found my walking stick really helpful. A fantastic view and we'll worth the trouble
There is no off road parking where the little red sign at ground level indicates a path to view the stacks. Stop before this, just after a cattle grid, with a sheep sheering station on the left. You can park off road up that entrance without effecting the single track road.
Very dramatic scenery with the full force if the North Atlantic battering the land below. I loved it here. Be very careful near the edge because the land is collapsing into the sea. A little sign at the side of the road indicates the way over the peat and heather marsh which takes you 2 minutes to the cliff edge where there is also a mini waterfall that drops down to the sea.
Beautiful views and impressive to see. We had to walk quite a way from the road side to get the best views but was worth it. Be warned that there isn’t a path or car park, and the ground can be very muddy and uneven. There’s not a fence all the way along the cliff edge so need to take care with your footing here. A very remote and quiet place - definitely worth seeing. We were the only ones there which was amazing.
