MaltDog is an intimate venue offering a great selection of beer which changes frequently. Every time you visit there is an opportunity to experience a new flavour and the selection is always tasteful. Service is always lovely and welcoming. I particularly enjoy the music selection: playlists of Alternative Rock and Metal which could be from my own Spotify playlist. With an upstairs area offering more tables and sofas I have never had a problem finding a seat even on a busy night. Best bar in Monton! We love you Malt Doggy Dog! ????
My favourite place to go for a drink in Monton. Really good selection of beer including from local breweries, and available in 2/3rds. I only tend to drink beer here but they also have wine, fizz and a good range of whisky and gin and I love an aperol here in the summer!
Dan is doing an awesome job, always makes you feel so welcome even if you’ve never been in before you will feel like you’ve been going for years. The staff are great friendly and willing to chat about the beer and recommend if you’re not sure what to have. Open mic every fortnight is ace and we’ve been to a gin tasting event which was great fun.
Sometimes downstairs gets busy but there’s plenty more space upstairs and a small outdoor seating area in front.
Dog friendly too!
We love the selection of lager here. It's informal. You can bring dogs so it's nice for a pint after a walk. Always busy on the weekend but friendly.
This bar is amazing, from the selection of alcohol to the staff's amazing service. I was out on a stag do and the staff took care of the entire party despite any mess or noise. They were just amazing.
We went for our engagement party with a small group of about 20 people and the owners were more than accommodating and the atmosphere was great not a single complaint everything was amazing couldn't recommend anywhere better

Great little place. Dog friendly, great pint!!! They even let you get a pizza from next door and eat in the bar!!!
