Friends that I speak to are actually able to see their Dr face to face. They're shocked when I tell them I can't even speak to a receptionist and that I have to use an online booking service. If you're fortunate enough to even be able to book an appointment (the Anima web page is available at 8:00am but fully booked by 8:01am) your specific request are ignored. I requested a face to face visit with the female Dr that I'm assigned to, to only receive an email stating they think I need a telephone call instead. I'm given no appointment time, so I have no idea when I will receive the call and I'm at work. I had to call, wait in a queue for about 30 minutes to find out this information myself. The receptionist said the doctor must have forgotten to email the confirmation over. I don't think they're even reading patients' requests properly. It seems they're just speeding through them with generic responses because of the vast numbers. I have never actually met my Dr in person, she liases with me via text. She texts my scan results and texts her very brief advice. Where is the personal touch? It's such an impersonal system, the care aspect has totally been erased, and I think it's a disgusting way to treat patients.
Anima is the worse thing that ever happened to this doctor’s surgery, when they were based in carters green you were able to call and BOOK an appointment, now it’s call at 8am or go online only to find that within 30 seconds it’s reached capacity. I would seriously like to know what the ratio is between doctors and patients because at the minute it seems like it’s 500-1. Also how for the longest time does the message when you call say that delays are due to staff absences!! Employ more staff, better still employ staff who can talk to people with a ounce of compassion and not accuse me of being aggressive just because I’m asking too many questions.
Absolute shambles. Asked practice manager to send complaint forms, was eventually contacted SIX MONTHS later by different member of staff saying complaints system has changed and you only need to send complaint by email. I was also told that original practice manager had left the practice, he is still listed as practice manager on their website Two months later. Either they tell BAREFACED LIES or they pay as much attention to the website as they do Patient welfare. Only giving one star as Google wont let me post no stars
This Anima system does not work at all it is just as worse than the having to wait on the phone at 8pm to get an appointment. Before you could book an appointment on a system at 8pm for the available appointments for the next day then they stopped this and introduced this useless Anima System. My best advice is to call 111 and be directed to the Urgent Treatment Centre even if you wait for an hour to two to be seen by a medical professional it's better than this Anima rubbish.
Ideal system if your a lazy benefit scrounger. If you work long hours 7 days a week to pay taxes for the lazy who have time to be there or on the phone at 8am for hours, this is not the place for you.
Receptionists take the flack for the higher positioned people who couldn’t run a tap never mind a surgery. Someone needs to be held responsible for the inadequacy of this joke of a place. They set the rules, you follow them , yet rules are not followed by them. Big improvements are easy, make there jobs on the line for poor management, and ignorance.
This is the worst surgery. If you make a call you will be on 70 or 80 in queue when they pick call...all they will say they reached the maximum capacity. Why they are taking pt. In if they can't follow up as well. They are not caring about pt. Health.
I have been a life long patient here and I've never known such shocking appalling service, anima is not fit for purpose have to log on at exactly 8am just to put through a request and then you have to wait for a vague response which says our team will call you... well when today? Tomorrow? Some of us have to work and keep phone out all day! Absolute joke no wonder people are leaving and going to linkway
Overall their standard of service is poor. Their new Anima system is ridiculous. They want you to put all your details and your symptoms on this and it takes ages to answer all the questions. They have not considered the people who have not got access to Internet or are old and struggle with this new system. People can't even get an appointment on this system. You have to wait till the surgery opens at 8am to try and get an appointment and as soon as its 8 you get into the system they say all appointments have gone try again the following day. How can appointments go if its only 8 and they haven't given you a chance to put your details and symptoms in. I would not recommend this surgery to anyone!!!
