We have been going to Lucy’s weekly for almost as long as they have been open.
We are now part of the furniture. All the bake house staff are amazing and we always have a good laugh and joke.
It’s a really happy warming friendly environment.
Pam & Alison are the most amazing bakers all the bakes are amazing.
They all go above and beyond to make everyone welcome and included.

The staff are very friendly and very patient (there was lots of choice) service with a smile goes a long way to making the customer experience better.
The portion size is generous for the price.
And yes the cakes are amazing ????

I don't come nearly as often as I should but hands down the best place in Halifax for coffee and cake. You won't find a more authentic or friendly bunch of people if you tried. All of the girls are so welcoming and really do make you feel like you're at home when you walk through the door. Visited today with my friend after a playdate and sat outside in the sun for a couple of hours and they didn't make us feel like we'd over stayed our welcome (which you can get at other places). They're very breast feeding friendly and the bakehouse was a lifesaver for me the first time I had to feed my little boy in public.
A lovely place to go for a Saturday morning treat. I had a cookie pie and my wife had a victoria sponge, both were delicious and look yummy. Food and service are always great. The only downside (through no ones fault) is that it is a little bit small and you may need to sit outside, great for a crisp spring morning but not when its raining.
I have been buying Lucy’s cakes for a long time, I always make sure I visit on a Saturday to their lovely shop in Westgate, Halifax. I either eat in or get a takeaway or sometimes both.
The service is excellent, the staff are always friendly and have a smile for everyone.
And there are no words to describe the cakes, they are Devine, something for everyone, my husband loves the carrot cake and the Bakewell tarts melt in the mouth. Lucy and ‘Aunty Pam’ are amazing ????????????
When we walked into the building we were greeted by a huge smile and lovely staff member. This community is incredibly welcoming and is a lovely place to be I will 1000% happy to come back. Being that I have a dog it is quite hard to find a cafe inside that allows dogs but Lucy’s cafe is a dog friendly place for people and pets.
We absolutely love this place, always the friendliest welcome everyone is so lovely. Great spot to have a good quality coffee and treat yourself to the most amazing cakes...our dog loves going too they always make a fuss of him which is so nice ????.
