We recently enjoyed a mouthwatering takeaway from Lucky Star Restaurant. The Singapore style noodles and the flavorful black bean sauce of chicken were absolutely amazing. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a delightful takeaway experience.
I'm so sorry for leaving this review. I hate complaining but my daughter and I are so disappointed. The chips looked felt and tasted like they were 'biscuit chips' cooked from the night before . The pancake rolls although tasty were dripping in oil and the chicken and mushroom we decided on not eating due to the smell of it. We are hoping it was just a case of something went wrong because you have some good reviews but overall we paid £30 and feel really dissatisfied. We look forward to hearing back from you.

I have been using this take away for many years and have never had a problem with the food, which is mainly quite pleasant. However, the service could be better! I always collect as on one occasion my delivery took over an hour to arrive at adwick, despite several phone calls saying he will be there in minutes.
The other gripe is when I have arrived to collect I am then asked what did I order. Then on opening up at home finding part of the order is incorrect
I always order from here it's my number 1 Chinese takeaway tonight was disappointed ordered the house special chow mein bits of everything I love prawns usually you get at least 3 no not tonight and not as much meat all noodles and onions ONE prawn feel like their cutting corners even thou their not the cheapest Chinese think its about time to try a different Chinese and you get a price when you order when they deliver it's never the same usually higher ??? Time for a change
Chips were over cooked and hard prawn crackers looked like they has been cooked twice and chicken and mushroom just looked like a slimy gravy not nice at all
Been here several times. Always busy. Food is good.
So firstly, not a great start when we had to wait over an hour for delivery after ordering at 4:15. After waiting for almost an hour, we decided to check the app to see what the status was, already marked as delivered. Strange... We had no food... Best call the shop. Spoke with a young lass who told us that it had already set off and should be here anytime now. Approximately 15 minutes later I decide to call again as still no food. Young lass went off to find out what was happening.... Wait! Its here! Thank god.
Food. Not great I'm afraid. Because of it taking AT LEAST 20 minutes to get here from the shop (on a chilly night) the majority of it was luke warm at best. Only the food in the cartons had any decent heat there.
Beef chow mein, still warmish to be honest, wife quite enjoyed this so no complaints. Although it was just noodles and beef the wife prefered this rather than the random veg you can sometimes get from places.
The kid had nuggets(quite similar to Maccy D nuggets) and chips which were cold. Least he didn't have to blow em, bless him.
Szechuan chicken was missing.... And by that what I mean is that what I recieved looked and tasted like chicken and veg that had been drowned in sweet chilli dip (see photo). Nothing like anything I've had anywhere else. I know each place varies but this was night and day to the usual. But the silver lining, it was in a carton so relatively warm.
The chips were cold, the onion rings cold and soggy.
Overall quite poor and disappointing. Wouldn't recommend on this occasion.
After contacting via the app, the shop came back to us with no apology but basically saying that the timings on the app were wrong. The food is sent in an insulated bag but They also said as we are 3 miles away they send a few orders and basically we are last in thst queue. They also suggested we collect the food in future. Poor attitude to be honest and I paid £3.50 delivery.... Yet still gotta wait, still gotta be happy with barely warm food. No thanks.
Nice clean premises, friendly service and the order was ready on time for us to collect. Extensive menu, good sized portions and great flavours. The sweet and sour pork balls are massive and gorgeous.
