We wanted a Chinese Dim Sum after weeks without dim sum breakfast. All my friends needed a dim sum fix. Lotus Garden in Chinatown showed out on our search very close to us. We decided to have our first dim sum breakfast after a few weeks.
The restaurant is big with many people waiting for tables on the Sunday morning. We were very lucky to have had a table in a short time. They have very good dim sum. We were all very satisfied with this delicious meal.
Great dining experience in London's Chinatown! We were seated promptly and treated to a diverse array of exquisite dishes. The ambiance was great , and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We'd definitely return for more culinary delights.
Every dish was incredibly tasty. Their dim sum is superb, although it's not entirely authentic, it comes close. I also savored the baby octopus in chili oil, it was delightful. Oh, and their duck dish was exceptional too. But my absolute favorite was their buns! Must try!
I've been to this restaurant twice in the last month with my family and then with my best friend. The satay chicken was a burst of flavours, impeccably grilled and accompanied by a rich peanut sauce. The noodle soups were a comforting delight, with a variety of fresh ingredients creating a flavoursome bowl. The Kung Pao chicken struck the perfect balance of heat and savoury goodness. Also recommend the chicken fried noodle dish.
Overall, it's a must-visit for anyone in the mood for delicious Chinese cuisine! The staff are friendly!
Just wish they serviced Chinese chicken and prawn dumplings!
One of my favorite Dim Sum spots in London. The dim sum definitely reminded me of the one in the local streets of Hong Kong.
I’m very picky about flavor when it comes to my favorite dim sum, places after trying so many around the world.
What I ordered:
Fish congee - loved the freshness of the white fish perfect balance with the sesame oil and white pepper.
Beef tripe with ginger - perfect chewiness and not over cooked.
Turnip cakes - not too salty and loved the texture
Deep fried Scallops rolls - crunchy goodness
Beef Cheung fun - beef was fantastic!
Beef dumplings - once again beef was fantastic!
Spares ribs I loved, not too salty
And my absolute favorite, the mini egg tarts, flaky tarts.
The perfect tea to pair with this meal is the jasmine tea.
I have nothing bad to say about this place, I just love the service, the restaurant was cute and cozy, even though they were super busy, the food came out on time and still hot. Please give this place a try and support local.
Came here for dim sum. Enjoyed our meal.
Would recommend the baby octopus in satay sauce, roast duck and whelk.
We were there for 6 people and spent over £200+ but were treated as a nuisance to their business. They kept trying to hurry us up while they prepared for a table of 5.
Food was average but the complete lack of decorum and attitude towards us as customers was frankly, insulting.
No apologies or thanks for our return business means that we will never come here again.
No need to be rude, treat your customers with a modicum of respect and we would return again but you could not rise to a simple thank you so thus this review has been written
Poor portion of meat that looks almost sad and disproportionate to its price (>£11). Service was difficult to catch and food was slow to arrive (>20mins for a plate). Taste wise it was - the bare minimum - decent enough to satiate my cravings for roasted meat though there are better places within the tourist trap of a Chinatown with more generous servings, greater taste and better prices.
