Perfect place for a stroll or walking the dog very tranquil
The Lake area is undergoing a major overhaul. There are many activities on and around the Lake fronted by the Lakeside Boathouse. The Lake Dragon recently had his head and neck restored after storm damage over a year ago. Lovely place to visit and good cafe above the Boathouse.
Beautiful. Definitely worth the visit. £15 for half hour to go out on the dragon boats and it was a lovely time.
Lovely revamp to the local lake. New boating and a pretend beach with free to use sandpit.
The main café was nice but busy. Need to book a table in the summer holiday time.
There is a smaller café under the main building which was okay. Lots of holiday bits to buy including rock and post cards.
The toilets downstairs are grim but the ones in the main café upstairs were much nicer!
Would recommend for a day out.
There’s also a small park close by and even a payable mini pitch and putt golf course down the road too. I could see a giant chess board there too.
Amazing little lake with swans geese and duck's. Paddle boats were a hit! Also soveneir shop/increased shop was open and 20p for the toilets nearby. Upstairs Cafe was still closed because of covid-19 restrictions but guessing there's nice views from there when it opens. Also a huge adventure playground and picnic tables nearby. Car parking was free.
We've called in here many time previously, but this visit saw a different staff attitude. Grumpy says it all. No real interest in us or several other customers. We were made to feel we were a nuisance by calling in. Menu choices ignored and changed without asking. I know you are busy, but I've been in customer facing jobs all my working life and you have to keep your "work face" on. No customers? No job.
Poor and we will find a new venue for our next tour. ????
Great place for walking, running/jogging. Facilities: Restaurant, Toilets, kids play area(outdoor), lake views, bird watching(swans, ducks etc) woodlands, pedal boating.
Lovely place to visit, wish we had more time, would gladly return to see the rest ofbthe park.
