Went to this walking centre after being sure I had an ear infection, general flu symptoms and hearing loss. One nurse saw me to triage me and she said it looks like my ear is infected, the second nurse who saw me looked in my ears, said they were just blocked with wax, and checked my chest and said it was completely fine and there was no infection. still felt dreadful, she didn’t offer me any medication or anything, just said to use olive oil ear drops. Still felt awful 2 days later, rang 111 and they got me an urgent appointment with a GP, who diagnosed me with a chest infection and an ear infection, and said my ears were completely clear of wax. prescribed me some antibiotics, and after a few days on them feel significantly better. Nurses are obviously trying to get people in and out of the walkin centre and aren’t taking proper investigations. Disappointed
Absolutely disgraceful all round. I came with my friend who was very nervous and upon arriving the receptionist was rude and interrupting and visibly frustrated by my friends Irish accent. When we were seen there were two nurses one of which was EXTREMELY disrespectful to myself and told me to stand at the door when I explained I was there for support. They then proceeded to be very rude to my friend who had been suffering from a chronic ear infection causing major headaches, and did NOTHING for her but upset her massively and tell us they won't treat us because it's "too late in the evening"... bear in mind it was 4PM and they shut at 8?!! Absolute disgrace. We were sent away with nothing but her patronising my poor friend, who was now in tears, saying that "one more day won't hurt" and to come back at 8am the next day with a CHANCE of being seen??!! Ridiculous. Those nurses were so unhelpful. All round 0/5. What happened to the 6 C's of nursing values?! No care or compassion there whatsoever. Terrible.
My son has recently moved to Liverpool for his first year of uni and fell in within the first couple of weeks. He attended the walk-in centre struggling to breathe. The staff here, according to him, were absolutely fantastic. They thoroughly examined him, diagnosed his illness, provided medication and gave him all the advice he needed. Thank you so much for taking good care of him.
Though they take walk-in appointments, the service was awful, what a disgraceful experience, I got a diarrhea and acid reflux and the staffs just check my blood and urine. Eventually I had waited for 4 hours and the result is there is nothing I should do even no medicine was prescribed
I cannot praise the treatment I received here today highly enough. The waiting area is clean, the receptionist friendly and helpful, and the wait was short . But the most outstanding professional of the day has to be Laura who assessed me. After struggling to get a GP appointment for months I presented myself here with breathing difficulties and what I suspected was a chest infection. The triage nurse was friendly and professional and I was referred to Laura. I spent over an hour with her while she did the most thorough of assessments. At all times she was friendly, put me at ease and was so patient. I left with a prescription and an inhaler after it was confirmed I had a chest infection. Laura was also concerned that my blood pressure seemed high and urged me to follow with a GP, which I will. I would not hesitate to use this practice again. I rarely need the help of the NHS but today they really delivered a first class service. Thank you to all the staff, you are marvellous.
This place is fantastic. The care and professionalism of the staff is amazing. The current pressures on the NHS make it very difficult to get a GP appointment but this centre is open 365 days a year with no appointments needed. What a great service!
There might be a long wait at times but worth every second of waiting to be seen by a caring healthcare professional. The nurses here really are a credit to the service and deserve to be paid more.
It is not a walk-in clinic at all so i don’t know why it’s printed all over the building. Just turned me a way as soon as I got there and said they don’t take walk in appointments.
I arrived and was seen by a nurse to explain what was wrong. She was extremely rude and had a attitude problem. Everytime I was trying to explain my symptoms she kept interrupting me and she was getting irritated when I was explaining my neck and shoulder blade pain. I was then told to wait to be seen by another nurse and had to wait 3 hours to just be told to keep taking paracetamol and if it gets worse go to gp. Absolute joke won't be coming here again. Rude staff and the waiting room stinks also has a broken TV. Isnt very pleasant place for the patient especially with rude staff
