Hard to walk past the window. We failed. Saw the cakes and had to pop in to get some to take home. The taste citron was soft, fluffy and perfectly crafted. The salted chocolate fudge cake was superb and a healthy portion. Prices are very good for top class cake making. The savouring menu and stuff on show also looked wildly tempting. We will surely be back one day.
Best place for desert in stokey! I’ve always walked passed it and never had the time to pop in and try until the last couple of weeks and the baked cheese cake is definitely one of my faves so far! I also tried the vegan dessert (orange slice pictures) out of curiosity. Definitely coming back.
On Friday 9th June, my friend and I went to the patisserie to get local businesses involved in a local community event being planned. We had a hopefully successful conversation.
But my eyes kept turning to the wide variety of dishes. First we ordered orange juice, then decided to have lunch and then also had desserts to top it off.
The staff were very friendly and professional.
My friend and I both enjoyed our spontaneous lunch.
The weather was beautiful and we sat outside loving the hussle and bussle.
I'm looking forward to going to La Duchesse soon. The perfect weather to have fresh orange juice.

They caught me with their cakes in their window. I am sure, if you see my first picture you want one slice, just like me…
… but if you go inside, I am sure you want spend time there too, just like me. What you find, that is not expected from the outside of the view. That is cozy. … and what you can eat or / and drink that is just the top of it. I cannot show you the taste of my meal just present it in my pictures. Use your imagination. … or just go and try it for real.
I liked their menu, especially that part where it is telling ‘… as you like them.’
I am just wondering… ???? Do they know, what they were just putting out their with those four words.
I suggest, go and challenge them ????.
The reviews do not match the products i purchased, took a passion fruit lemon tart, blueberry cheesecake and a roulade piece. Unfortunately all were packed in the same box without any dividers so of course all 3 got mashed up. But the biggest disappointment was the roulade, the smell of uncooked egg emanating from it was bad and it ruined the other 2. Shame i was looking forward to eating this at home. Service at the counter was great but the product was a big let down!
Lovely little place selling my absolute favourite vegan cheesecake ???? which sadly is often out of stock due to its popularity. They also sell non vegan food (majority of) so everyone can find something delicious to eat. Very good, friendly service.
A nice cosy cafe with a rustic look. Their coffee is amazing and the breakfast menu is very good. They also serve cakes and pastries and other deserts. Friendly staff very welcoming.
Halal (HMC supplied) brunch place with a rustic feel and ample seating. If you can grab a spot next to the open fire, all the better! Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Overall a great place for a quick coffee or something a little more substantial.
