Who goes to a French restaurant and eats a burger, me sadly but I'd promised myself one all day after going months without one, having seen my partner's lamb delivered I was secretly kicking myself under the table, the lamb looked that good the chap too our left cancelled his fish and ordered the lamb lol. Back to the burger, oh my, with a side order of roasted beetroot it was delicious and truly felt gutted eating the last mouthful, my partner's lamb was divine, it's a family run business and the owner/partner were warm and attentive I must say, a must go restaurant if you are serious about your food and that includes a burger ????
Large seating area but cosy and relaxing with great waiter. Delicious French food which is authentic. Would definitely recommend.
A calm and cosey meal with lovely ambience and delightful service. Genuinely enjoyable and recommended for anyone wanting to try French food.
Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly service.
Very nice staff. Average food.
I couldn't fault it. The quality of the food was absolutely amazing everything was perfectly seasoned. The lamb was tender and vegetables were clearly very fresh. The Prawn Au Gratin was a stand out for me, beautifully succulent and balanced in flavour.
The ambience and decor was lovely. The staff are lovely. It was my first visit yesterday but it won't be the last.
We went at 8pm on a Saturday evening as a table of 4. The restaurant was largely empty but were a few other tables in. Despite the lack of customers we had very long waits for both starters and mains. We left 3 hours later not daring to wait for a desserts. The prices were reasonable. Starters we're nice but all of our main courses we're very overcooked. Co owner lady was nice but other waiters were none attentive. Wine seemed a bit pricey too, we had the Sancerre which cost £30+, it was nice but it retails at about £13 in the supermarket. Definitely won't be returning in a hurry sorry
Eat there around once a month and recommend it to everyone. The staff are charming and the food is incredible. They rely on word of mouth, so let's see this independent restaurant fly. Can't recommend it highly enough, go on, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. We always go a la carte, but the set menu is excellent value
