Been going here for donkeys years, still as good as always. Same family own it that originally started it. Lovely people. Known by name too which is nice to be greated with your name. Highly recommended to anyone who loves Chinese food. Best in Yorkshire. By far.
Recently back in Halifax for the night, decided to try what used to be my favourite takeaway, don't know what's happened but the king prawn curry was dreadful, all I could taste was salt...used to miss this place, not anymore ????
Dec 2019: Moved back to the area and so pleased to find this on my doorstep. Great food, friendly service and good value for money so far. Could be 5 stars in a few months from me.
May 2022 update: Treat myself to a meal here now and again. Prices recently went up which deterred a few folk but it's around the first substantial hike in years so noticeable because of that. Still value for money and cheaper than most. Favourite meals for me are the special curry and also have a nice piece of battered fish with soft noodles upon occasion.
They don't do delivery and I can see why with the amount of footfall gracing the premises. Can only imagine the hassle that delivery creates and extra workload. I prefer to order direct rather than face potential disappointment that I often get when I have used delivery services.

Nice chicken omelette, I ordered for collection ready when I got there. Exclelent.
This place has been here over 30 years and is still owned by the same family. It is still as good as always.
The lads have brought some more modern dishes in but still have the traditional Cantonese dishes too.

The prawns in the king prawn in tomatoe where that chewy it was unedible, there was no meat what so ever in the special fried rice. The only nice thing was the portion of bean sprouts
Very good food the best Chinese takeaway in Halifax by far, ive been going there for years and won't go anywhere else, lovely and friendly people always give you a friendly welcome. Very good price too.
Been here plenty of times, food seems to be getting worse, had sweet and sour chicken balls and they were chewy. Rang him to let him know incase it was an issue with his supplier, and was questioned on what I meant by chewy, and was then informed thats how it's meant to be.
So if you want chewy chicken, this place cooks it perfectly.
