Such a delicious and cosy japanese restaurant! Left very full and happy. Got the grilled mackerel bento box and the oyako don, as well as the spider roll. Everything was very well cooked!
This place is medium size but it fits for 6 people.
Starters:
We had starters the sushi is really good it tasted so fresh. 10/10 and the other starters were edamame beans, and gyoza.
Mains:
We had a mix of dishes, the seafood noodles were a 9/10 it was a bit sweet for me. The others did love their mains
We also had this fun marble drink, very tasty and it was melon flavour.
We also had the sake wine that was strong but tasty.
Overall we had a great time and the food was very tasty.
Came here for a quick bite before a gig at the Hammersmith Apollo and it was perfect - quick service, everything we ordered was excellent and the decor and vibe was so cosy and welcoming. We were lucky to get a walk in for 4 on a Friday night as it was quite busy. I’d had a massive craving for Japanese food all week and this meal was everything I hoped it would be: authentic, fresh, delicious and great value. We ordered tuna sashimi, yakitori, prawn tempura, soba salmon soup, crispy tuna roll, Tori karaage, Nasu salad, Wakame, prawn gyoza, kimchi and it was all so good. The karaage was exceptional, crisp and tasty batter and super moist inside. The raw aubergine was a new dish for me and was lighter and more fragrant than the super umami fried miso aubergine version which I love too. Everything we ordered was flavoursome and beautifully presented. The portions were generous and everything came out quickly to the table. We had a really great dinner and felt well looked after, thank you Kenta.
Good value Japanese by London’s standards as relatively low cost and huge portion sizes. Nothing special but decent food at a fair price which was served quickly. Ideal before a gig athWe shared edamame, gyoza and salmon nigiri to start, then salmon teriyaki & pork soba noodles. Only negative was they had 5 wines on the menu but only 1 available
Delish sushi, v reasonably priced. Had a salmon teriyaki bento box each, edamame and shared the shrimp tempura sushi. Everything including the miso soup was so delicious. Was £40 altogether and both very full. Service wasn’t the most attentive which was good for us because we sat there for ages but we had have wanted more drinks etc you’d have to flag down the waitress (probs because only one girl working on the Monday evening we went). Super relaxed atmosphere, lots of people eating alone so a good place for that too!
Had dinner at Kenta without prior booking, luckily we arrived quite early (7:30pm) and after being politely told the restaurant is full for the night, we were able to get a table waiting less than 2min.
The food was delicious, and served quickly. With a cup of Japanese green tea on the side (not bitter at all, surprisingly, hence demonstrating the top-notch quality), and a little jar of sake, we thoroughly enjoyed both starters to be shared (veggie tempura and fried squids) before moving on our mains: spicy salmon rolls (with just the right amount of spiciness for western palates) and chicken udon soup. We finished with a shared cup of matcha green tea which was ok. The service during the meal was very reactive and polite. Overall a lovely Japanese experience for Sunday dinner.
First time here and it was the best stir fry I’ve ever had! I can’t describe how tasty it was. The portion was really generous for the pricing!
Delicious, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced, sushi and other Japanese food. Atmosphere is a bit basic, but clean and comfortable. Service was friendly and attentive. If I lived closer, I’d be here weekly for sure!
