Delicious hot chocolate!
The carrot cake was so good.
They are friendly here. One of the waiters, Mr. Pavan (I hope I remember his name correctly) was very accommodating and polite.
Toilet was clean and well maintained.
The dining area was actually cleaned well despite being crowded and in the center of a very crowded tourist place.
Lovely café! The turkish coffee was divine and I want to come back for the pastries and date ice cream! The man at the cashier was very nice and explained to me how to make salep, only negative was that the waiter that served us seemed very lost and kept messing up our orders so we had to ask someone else.
Loved my Cake , spinach quiche, earl grey and Coffee.
But no comparison to the taste of milk in Turkey!! The coffee beans are the same but not the same
Milk so makes all the difference.
Very friendly staff :)
What a place…
OMG.. Finally great & tasty Turkish coffee in London!
Superb! ????????????
Place is nice, small and busy and tables are quite close to each other..
Chocolate is yummy, so are different things, especially the chocolate covered chestnut.. These are amazing..
Not cheap.. but definitely recommended..
I have never been here before but the Turkish coffee while not cheap really does the job, I am wide awake and I got a double. It was thick as mud and super strong as expected. I asked for some milk on the side and got it as well. They were very nice ends up normal coffee comes with a chocolate spoon and this Turkish coffee doesn't and I managed to get one as a one off. Extra points for excellence in customer service. The lady was very nice and explained what the Turkish baked roll with meat was and I had that very delicious, tasty and not dry. I really enjoyed my coffee and baked goods. My friend enjoyed the coffee so much he got a second one. Really nice, professional, polite and helpful staff. I recommend them. Also very close to picadillly circus. If you liked my review please press like. Thank you
After a while, I came back to edit this review because I'm utterly shocked by what I have experienced after being a customer here since 2012. In 2012, my review would have 5 starts, but not anymore. It was one of our favourite places to have pistachio or vanilla ice cream along with real turkish coffee and any other food or drink. We went back after a while recently, and we were shocked by the state of the caffe.
Soooo different to what it used to be. It's dirty, not looked after at all. Lamps covered in dust, including the shelves, floor not cleaned properly, furniture stained, walls scratched and not painted since probably opening, the paper placemats are being used several times, not onceike before. Literally falling apart looking place ( look at the picture of the cupboard. The glass shelves with food behind not wiped properly, you can see smages which putting you off to order anything. I was shocked when I sat to order my drink.
This coffee is not the same Caffè we used to go to and definitely lost its spirit :-( .
I would be embarrassed to invite or recommend this place to anyone.
This café has a good roasted Turkish coffee and chocolates. I used to visit it on a regular basis years ago. Today, I went back, after 4-years, and have noticed that the service has become less efficient and the way food & drinks are served were very ordinary. However, I strongly recommend the Sehlab with coffee drink, my favorite..
This is my favourite place in London to get a Turkish coffee with mastic ???? absolutely top knotch Turkish coffee and they have the best deserts too for chocolate lovers, a chocolate fountain, chestnut chocolate or pistachio brick chocolate are usually my go-tos. The mastic ice-cream is also amazing. Highly recommend this place and it’s right next to Waterstones so booklovers check it out :) they also do some savoury dishes so if you want to have some spinach and cheese pastry or some beef pastrami pastry it’s on the menu too alongside quiches and sandwiches but the highlight is the coffee and dessert for me.
