Poor quality, poor service told an hour for delivery and it was 2 and when food arrived it was cold, chips were the worse I've ever had. A greasy mess. No idea what the meat was in the sweet and sour but it wasn't chicken. Never again!
Let's just start with the good. Really good efficient service. And that's where it ends. Now under new ownership and the quality has dropped significantly. Food was absolutely awful more salt in the food than the dead Sea. Won't be ordering again unless Jim makes a return.
Best in town, although Jim has now retired and new folks have taken over. Just a shame it's only cash payments. Hopefully that will change
Jim's takeway had fish n chips usally I don't conplain, food is uasally very good but they were very greasy please make better effort
Awful food. Spent £30.00 on a family meal. Cheap ingredients, poorly cooked & presented. Most ended up in the bin. Few days later I see them shopping in Lidl over the road buying huge bags of cheap rice etc for 99p etc. As a customer paying top whack for "quality food" I do not like to know I have paid completly over the price of the meal as are all the other customers. Horrible food, cheap ingredients & being ripped off on top of all that ? Not happy at all....
Jim has been in situ for around 30 years. During that time I've had more Chinese takeaway's than I can remember. The chips are good too. Even though I no longer work in the area, I still call in when I'm passing, to see old friends and get a really good meal for two
My first Chinese since the lock down started, never been here before but i gotta say outstanding meal cooked to perfection not greasy and proper chips .I will definitely use Jim’s garden again top class.
Really poor quality food. extremely dry chicken chow mein, not at all what I usually expect from a Chinese. extremely grumpy server also, didn't once even make eye contact or acknowledge me other than when asking for money. won't be returning
