Finally got to pop in on a Friday for Tea.
Ate in, service was good and the young lady was helpful.
Brightly coloured but no real atmosphere, but I was there to try the food.
Ordered Curry Goat to eat in and to Take Away the Jerk Chicken.
Really enjoyed both, portions not too big.
Had callaloo, rice & peas, steam veg, dumpling and jerk sauce!!
It was amazing!
This particular dish is made fresh and please phone or message ahead as the ingredients need to be purchased fresh!
The service was amazing and all the ingredients were brilliantly presented.
Smallest portion sizes I've ever seen at a yard food shop. Tried over 3 times for this to improve. Last time I called as there was 8 pieces of goat per large adult meal. Not enough to fill a small child for 12 pounds. Was told it should have been 6 pieces so I was lucky! The cheek. Won't be supporting this business going forward! I'd suggest Gloucester hot and spicy for banging food and portion sizes!
Popped in with a friend on our break time and had a really good experience with the food, got the jerk chicken and a patty with a dumpling, really delicious food and very welcoming atmosphere.
Service was fab, and the restaurant itself is clean and welcoming.. but unfortunately the food didn't live up to my expectations. As a mixed race person I was disappointed after spending £90 for 'white washed' food. The Mac n cheese was milky n flavourless the jerk chicken tasted like something from a supermarket and the curry goat was mediocre. What topped it off for me was when I asked for a Guinness punch the girl responded with 'whats that'? How can a Carribbean restaurant not know what a Guinness punch of all? That's like going to a chippy and asking for battered chips and them turning around and saying 'whats that?
Beautiful food! We had Mac n’ cheese and the ackee & saltfish and both were amazing! It was also great that there were loads of gluten-free dishes as my partner has a gluten intolerance.
Really friendly atmosphere too and we’ll definitely be back soon!
Was I unlucky, I don't know. Jerk chicken was lukewarm and had soggy skin not crisped at all. Dumplings were straight from the cold cabinet, don't ever try warming them in the microwave, you produce canonballs. Cabbage was also cold, curry goat was lukewarm. Meat was tender but not exactly a generous portion the flavour reminded me of a fairly average chinese curry.
Not impressed, the only good thing was the speed of delivery. which was down to Deliveroo, a few minutes after collection the rider was at my house.
Given the amount of alternatives I don't feel inclined to waste any more money. All in all I am glad I got a considerable discount as it was the first time of using Deliveroo.
I got the jerk chicken and rice and am telling you it was a 10/10 everything ftom the food to the customer service. If you are ever in Worcester and you are looking for hot nice meal with easy prices and friendly vibes look no further than this place
