I was on holiday at the time of my visit and I am on a money saving mission like a lot of people in these difficult times. Well I landed on my feet. Best price in town for a decent take out meal. Generous portions and more than adequate for my needs. Thank you.
Great food, ordered the set meal for two. It would easily have fed four of us, great value and a friendly young lady serving us.
I always buy from the Hoi Yan but as it was closed i bought from Jade Garden never again a pot noodle had more flavour Prawn balls so hard and greasy you barely bite through them and everything tasted the same,no different flavours the portions were generous the price good but please change the oil and dont reheat Peter Yung and his family had class they could cook i was hungry aswell good job the dog isnt fussy.
Worst chow mein ever. Ordered the special chow mein expecting various meats with noodles. Received a salty taste less meal with a few prawns, a few bits of pork and ham! Since when does chow mein have bits of thin sliced ham? Another business only taking cash in Helston, I hope the tax man is watching.
Wish i could give minus 10 stars. Ordered at 9:55pm under the pretense that it was open until 1030pm as per google and we arrived at 10:07pm and she said "you ordered at 955 and we said 10 mins and you didnt come so thought you didnt want" and they had cooked our food, closed and given our food to the staff? Weird. Freaks of Helston, dont order
I used to rave about this my local takeout but the last 3 takeaways over the past few months standard has dropped dramatically, not sure what is going on whether it is the chef on or quality of ingredients.
My veg side beanspouts one of the most basic dishes was so awful slimy and tasteless that they went straight in the bin. The rest of the meal was quite mediocre., prawns with chilli and garlic not the slightest hint of chilli and prawns with chilli and honey were dreadfully over cooked the egg foo yung was like a doorstop!
Will not be returning I am afraid, get better Chinese at Tesco’s.
