We went to these guys after being recommended by our mechanic to see about having the car exhaust mapping. We had already had the exhaust sensor changed & a reset done. It work for a few minutes then the light came on. The Mechanic advised maybe a faulty part so he ordered another & swapped them over.
Still no joy, so, he advised us to come here for a full diagnostic & a possible mapping of the exhaust. Well to cut a longer story short, after they’d done the diagnostic, it still stated the same problem as before. They traced back from the sensor & they found out what the issue was (a cracked slit pipe) & replaced it. They saved me a shed load of money, they are very honest & don’t make you pay for anything you don’t need to.
These guys are fantastic & we would highly recommend them to anyone needing repairs or an honest job carrying out.

Called in to book my car in for its MOT. Told me to call back in 20 minutes and they'd do it there and then. All done at reasonable cost and very quickly. Even got offered a KitKat and cup of tea whilst I waited. Brilliant service.
For about a month now I've had trouble with my volvo-s60-d5... Most mornings it wouldn't start. It turned out my car required a injector replacement/repair. I called many places for a quote and none of them got back to me. I called this place and he gave me an answer over the phone. Not only that but they booked me in the same week.
The only problem was it was 10 miles away from where I live with no bus service that could get me home but that wasn't an issue as they provided me with a courtesy car. A very economical fiesta. They do require you to replenish the fuel you use but that's only fare.
Within 4 hours my car was finished. It now starts perfectly. The staftt are lovely and welcoming. I highly recommend this place. It off the way a bit but we'll worth it.
My Vw crafter blew out a glow plug and I was told it was a big job with a few engine components to be removed before if could be fixed So I rang James who booked it in for the following Monday , it was delivered on a breakdown truck on the Friday ,, when Monday came I was fearing the worst but at 10-30 I got a call from James to say the van was done a new sleeve and glow plug fitted,, at a very reasonable price . Excellent service very experienced diesel specialists ,, a big thanks to James and Richard 5 star !!
These guys managed to fit me in for a diesel issue at very short notice. Vehicle repaired very quickly & kept informed of progress throughout.

First diesel car and first DPF problem with my Nissan Qashqai, my long time trusted mechanic couldn't help but suggested J Wright and Sons, family member called their trusted garage, said the same as mine. I called and the price was a little higher than others, but it was the waiting time of roughly 2 weeks that made me make the wrong choice of going elsewhere. Long story short, a few hundred quid, about 2 weeks, and 2 bad experiences with other mechanics later I called J Wright's again. When the day came I towed it there, had a diagnosis the same day, fixed the next day. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely kind and friendly, and there is a reason they are so busy, they are very good at what they do.
I had to wait 10 days for an appointment and found them quite expensive. However sorted within the day, no messing, part in stock. After being messed around by another garage, I would definitely use this garage again for an engine fault.
