This a good free car park with 20-30 spaces. It’s right next to the estuary with really convenient public footpaths with some lovely and quiet walks. It’s also only a 30min walk along the estuary to Snape Maltings.
Please note that there is barrier with a low height limit. VW transporters can just get under, but taller camper cans won’t.
Another hidden gem on the Suffolk coast with parking and picnic spot. Good walk along the footpaths to Snape and Iken with beautiful views of the river
Absolutely no facility but lovely view and walks to Snape and iken church by the river
Superb spot to walk in either direction alongside the Alde. Some improvements are being made to the car park.
Lovely large field to park and ideal to play or picnics . Theres great views of the river and the footpath running between Ilkin and Snape runs through the bottom of the field. Path to Snape is across the marshes on a boardwalk still a very nice walk
Quiet beauty spot, in the lovely suffolk countryside. Came here as a child 60 + years ago for picnics and paddling. Surprisingly, nothing much has changed despite the hustle and bustle of Snape Maltings, which is within a stones throw away.
A Beautiful spot especially for river walk towards both directions
Stunning views from the carpark over the River Alde towards Snape Maltings and St Botolphs Church. Car park is situated above the Suffolk Coast Path - right to the church and left towards Snape. The only proper place to park to access the walks around the area. Given good weather really is worth a visit.
