Love this place! As a fan of classic cocktails like martinis, manhattans and old fashioneds, HydeAway offers them alongside skillfully balanced new formulas, all of which are served by the knowledgeable and warm team in a cosy cellar speakeasy in central Frome. And, at ~£10 a pop, these drinks are incredible value for the quality (and booze ratio) you get.
As with most cocktail bars, drinks orders take time. But you're offered water as soon as you're given your table, and can order a beer or wine while you wait. The bar team aren't your average Joe's, as drinks are skillfully prepared and are well worth the wait.
I've taken family and friends here and have always had a great time - my dad still talks about the magic smoking cocktail he had. So huge kudos to Mr Hyde and the team for the excellent service. You've made many a memorable night!
Its always a treat to come here, whether it's for selective live music or just for cocktails. Staff are amazing and the whole atmosphere is pretty incredible. Cocktails are almost like from another planet with their different specialities and quirks.
Music is very well thought through, high standard and eclectic. Can't wait to go back.
I love this bar. Easily my favourite in Frome. Each drink has its own unique character and they all taste incredible. The atmosphere is cozy and the whole place looks gorgeous. Amazing service and very friendly. It is quite small so make sure to book if you want to be guaranteed a spot.
The best cocktails I've ever had, and in such a unique and cosy bar. Absolutely love this place and will definitely be back soon. Maybe put a 'please knock' sign on the door ????
A great venue for a small intimate gig. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and the singer, Hattie Whitehead were well worth travelling to hear.
I stumbled across HydeAway on a Sunday afternoon coming back from the local market and we were pleasantly surprised by this place! You feel like you're walking into a bar in Soho, there's so much to look at and the music matched the vibe perfectly. What impressed us the most was the knowledgable bartender. Clearly passionate about mixing drinks and flavours, rather than just picking off the menu (which you can do) he walked each of us through the flavours we like and paired drinks that he thought would suit us best (with the promise of making another if we didn't like it). A faultless experience, we all came away feeling like we just found something brilliant. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend if you're visiting Frome, you won't be disappointed!
The staff were amazing, very knowledgeable and excited to share their talents. The place had such a comforting atmosphere and the drinks were incredible made with ingredients the owner concocts themselves. Such a wonderful experience, went back three days in a row.
Lovely place for a drink! We had a quick one before dinner! Very tasty! A changing menu also!
