I have been using Hucclecote Pharmacy for 17 years, and have always had excellent service. I recently had a problem with a prescription, which was not their fault, but they resolved it for me effectively and professionally, despite having to deal with my obvious frustration. Thoroughly recommended. Many thanks.
Think carefully if you want to use it to pick up prescriptions from here, as you will always be kept waiting while they make it up for you. This waiting time is usually about 30 minutes, but for me to day it was one hour even though I had asked the young lad on the till three times if it was ready yet, as other customers had been and gone. All I wanted was one item that was owed and was delivered the day before to be put into a bag.
Just called into this Pharmacy for some urgent advice. I am not currently registered with a local Practice & both my lower legs/ankles are swollen & painful. I'm 78. The Pharmacist told me after looking at one leg, I need to see my doctor ASAP. "It's infected". I already knew that. She told me call 111. (I've already done that, to no avail) Then she said go to A&E. If I could I would. I can't walk easily. Calling an Ambulance is a joke these days.
I won't go on with this negative exchange at the 'Pharmacy', except to say 'What happened to the 'Hippocatic Oath' Hucclecote Pharmacy??? I was told I could always go to my local Pharmacy for help in an emergency. Obviously not to this one.
I went into the same Pharmacy a couple of weeks ago for my Flu vaccine. They were helpful & pleasant then & I got my Jab. Because they get paid for that?? Looks like it. The NHS is not working for me currently.
A shop that puts the customers first.
Following Shaun's well earned retirement in mid July 2020, the shop is under new management. Thankfully the new management are carrying on where Shaun left off. Service is just as good.
The frontage has had a facelift and the inside has been revamped and modernised, both long overdue. It's certainly pulled up the appearance and feel of the shops.
From the recent 'good' reviews, I must be attending a totally different chemist!
I find the staff rude and unhelpful; they will continue chatting while a queue builds and not even give an acknowledgement of anyone's presence.
Even if you phone to check that the medication is available and ready to collect, it is never made up. Most people have to wait around only to be told half of their prescription is missing... again...again...again!
This has happened multiple times to me, even with phonecalls to check. Not everyone is physically able to make multiple trips for the medication they need, yet we have never been offered a delivery service. Most people would be lucky to get a mumbled and begrudging apology.
I do understand that there is a medication shortage at the moment, but that's no excuse for their abrupt and impolite manner.
I agree with a previous comment about the pharmacist, as have heard her being very rude and unprofessional on several occasions; speaking loudly and aggressively on both the phone and in person.
Perhaps the GPhC need to be made aware of this place.
Feels like this chemist treats customers as an inconvenience, so much so, that I am changing pharmacy.
Some off the staff are very rude....
Not sure if it is the new owner but this women needs to learn how to speak to her customers...
Long waitting times.
The girl on the till is quiet helpfull.
Waited over 30 minutes for prescription,
.Others who arrived after me had prescriptions made up and they were gone.
Usually I have had a reasonably good service given current pressures but for some surprising and unexplained reason things seemed to slip today.
After years with a local pharmacy who genuinely didn't care about their clientele, this place is such a breath of fresh air! Attentive, cheerful, proactive colleagues with a truly wonderful approach to customer service. Excellent service, short waiting times, and superb communication. You ladies are awesome!! Keep up the good work! I can't recommend them enough. Thank you so much.
