Abysmal, atrocious and inept in offering any support.
If you or your loved one become a patient with these imbeciles, in a time of crisis or immense stress, as I was, then I truly feel for you.
Sending prayers.
In my case, the support worker made false promises. Lied to me. Missed multiple appointments with ZERO notification, while I was on the edge of life. Ignored emails, disappeared with total silence for MONTHS and in fact, made my time of crisis WORSE.
none of my family, friends, doctor or therapist could believe how they treated me.
I was also offered various support schemes and groups, none of which materialised.
18 months of pointless worthless so called professionals that would of played a serious role in my life ending had it happened.
This is my personal l experience, may yours be better.
Dr. Vijay is a blessing for this service. He listens to what a patient says and shows genuine understanding of what they're going through, deciding the treatment accordingly. Patient is fully involved in the process. A professional who treats patients as human beings and thinks outside the box. 5 stars also go to a gentleman from their admin who passed the message to the doctors.
Don’t send your loved ones here! If your mentally poorly when you first make contact with them you’ll be suicidal by the time they’ve messed you around. Watch out for Dr.Emma lambert, beyond incompetent, totally unapologetic and unaccountable for her actions with devastating effects to your life. Avoid!
Most of the staff I’ve spoken to from here have been polite and helpful however yesterday a lady from here phoned me I answered, she told me who she was and I answered a couple of her questions but I was busy so I asked her if she would be able to phone me back the next day as it wasn’t a good time to speak. (The phone call had not been pre arranged there was no appointment) at which point she then asked me to tell her why it is not a good time to speak which I was quite taken aback by as to me it’s quite rude to ask someone why they’re not free to take a phone call that hadn’t been arranged to begin with so I repeated to her that it was not a good time she then continued to ask me a couple more times to explain why, she said to me ‘you were fine speaking to the *lady who phoned the day before* so what’s different today’ I told her I do not feel like answering a question I don’t need to answer (why I wasn’t free to speak to her) she then asked me what has happened between then and now for me to not want to speak so I told her nothing has happened, I am fine it is just not a good time to speak and asked her once again to phone me back the next day.
Completely rude, unprofessional and nosy to expect to demand someone’s time without an appointment then expect me to explain to her what I’m doing that makes it not a convenient time to speak with her. Her role is supposedly to help people I’m not sure what help she thinks she’s giving by acting like that.
I have seen three people in the total over the past few months.
A nurse and two therapists, which both therapists to me have gone above and beyond to help me.
I can not fault the clinic.
But can I add a gentle reminder that these people are not miracle workers, it takes them and yourself to get where you need to be.
Considering Burton is a very small place, I think we are lucky to have some kind of support.
I finally understand why this place has awful reviews. Absolutely shambolic and shameful the way the staff member spoke to me today, but don't worry it was my fault because she didn't mean it the way she said it. NHS England save yourself some money, don't pay psyciatrists there's non psyciatrists here telling people what they do and don't have, even though as I was told by the very same individual that they're not a diagnosing service.... either uneducated to know how much harm the cause or just simply do not care. Either way save yourself a trip and don't waste your time here, left feeling worse than I was before I got there.
Ex-partner with schizophrenia decided to stop attending the clinic for his monthly anti-psychotic depot. Staff did absolutely nothing, didn’t chase him for his treatment or anything. Inevitability he got extremely unwell. I wrote a letter to the staff at Horninglow clinic expressing my concerns regarding his mental health and attached evidence of his self-neglect, but heard nothing back. Seems like they just don’t care. He’s now not getting the help he desperately needs. This has cost us his health and our relationship. Do not send your loved ones here!
Disgusting service. After a 30 minute assessment and waiting 8 months for apointment, got a call saying theres nothing they can help with. Apparently theres no psychiatrist. They also dont diagnose people at the clinic. Whats the clinic for. They didnt even bother to have me speak to someone like a nurse. If you have more than slight depression then these people are not for you. There unqualified and uncaring. Absolute disgrace.
