Food was good and service was good too, wait for the food was just abit longer than expected but worthwhile in the end so no problem with that. all around very good place to get Chinese from would recommend

OK... so it's probably the best Chinese takeaway in Grays BUT, the takeaway service is a bit poor.
I made an in person order. I was quoted 20 mins (only ordered one large rice and chicken mains) but the food ended up taking 35 mins. The Gentlemen who there being myself waited 45 mins. I can appreciate it was on a Saturday night but our expectations should have been managed better.
What made the experience worse, is that the takeaway drivers where in and out constantly, so the in person customers took a backseat.

Had this for the first time was recommended and yes was a lovely Chinese takeaway would definitely go back but canton chef is 6 star takeaway best I've had if that place was a restaurant you'd have to wait a month to get a table but yes this takeaway is VERY GOOD ????
Called up to make an order after reading great reviews. Gave her my postcode and told her where I am- she spoke to a gentleman and then came back to tell me my food will be delivered well over an hour as it's really busy and the deliveries are not near me so she will deliver there first even though I live in Grays. On a busy sat night you would expect them to be able to provide the service and not told you can order but it will take a very long time for us to deliver. I said ok but then she said she's sorry but I should try next time. The lady was apologitic and they lost out on a new customer. Not very happy.
This is the best Chinese food I have ever had(I’ve been to quite a few)! I have had this for the past 12 years now and they have never let me down ! Food is absolutely divine and service is amazing(the lady on the phone is so sweet)! If I could ,I would give it 6 stars would recommend completely if you are looking for something new !
My favourite Chinese takeaway. I don’t even order from Dagenham anymore, I’d rather drive 20 minutes & collect it. Can be a little variation in how my order is made but it never tastes bad. Quality meat is used & they stuff the plastic container
