Tonnes of parking. Lovely friendly service, nice ambient vibe, cosy on a grey day with the fire going. Good food, served efficiently and with a smile. Enjoyed our meal and will be going back ????????
i came to meet some friends yesterday for tea. i arrived at around 7:45 and their kitchen closed at 9. i was told they had basically closed the kitchen. only thing they offered was a bowl of chips? i don’t get why they closed off pretty much the whole kitchen an hour before it shut, and 3 hours before the pub shuts.
my friends told me that when they arrived the person who served them didn’t seem happy that we hadn’t booked when the place was absolutely dead. they had their drinks plonked down in front of them with attitude. we were planning on staying for a few drinks but left because we felt like us being there an inconvenience.
however aside from this we do have to say the food was very good. we ordered a beef sizzler and the beef was tender, came with a brilliant portion of chips, rice and salad! and the sauce was good. the chicken burger was lovely!
Visited Monday lunch time in a party of six, received great service and everyone was happy with the standard of their meals, it was very busy for a Monday lunch service.
Staff were very welcoming and the restaurant area was very warm and comforting. Nice open fire made it cosy. Then the menu wasn’t to big but enough to have a good choice. We chose 9oz burger and WOW it was delicious and tasty, didn’t taste like normal pub grub it tasted like it was freshly made and tasted like real home cooked food. We would highly recommend a visit and we will be revisiting.
Popped in for lunch today, greeted by friendly staff who were very attentive throughout. Food was served very quickly, and was lovely. The pub was very clean, great atmosphere. No faults at all. Enjoyable visit, will definitely go back. Highly recommended

Visit 1: me and my daughter.
All good. Food and service was great. No complaints at all. I had chicken and ribs, and it was huge! I was very pleased ????
Visit 2: family party of 12 people. Sadly, I don't feel they coped well with this size party. The food delivery was a bit slow, and some of the meals could have been nicer (based on previous visit) we gave constructive feedback on one of the puddings, and they did take hat on board, which is what you would expect from such a venue. They also need a few more staff in general. Although they may have had some off sick?
I would return, but not with large group. I'd suggest keeping numbers to 6-8, to ensure you get the best service/experience.
Went for a family catch-up with a party of 7. I wasn’t expecting great things as I’ve been to plenty of UK pubs for food and it’s usually disappointing, or very pricey if good. I was proved completely wrong here! All of our mains were £9-£14, huge portions, great quality of food and delicious. My curry was properly spicy with great flavours. I couldn’t finish all of the rice, chips and naan! Service was a bit slow but it was busy on a Monday night. Only one real ale on draught but it was decent. Big car park. The toilets are quite tired and need updating, but functioned absolutely fine.
Visited Friday 22nd 7 diners and Monday 25th march 8 diners. On both occasions food and service was excellent and value for money. Michael on Monday gave excellent service, great front of house representative. Sorry didn't get names of staff from Friday's. Would definitely recommend.
