Stopped by on Sunday as part of a large group. There was 15+ of us so probably bit of a shock to the staff for us to appear but they managed us very well. Very friendly and welcoming. Coffee was excellent, I had a brownie which was delicious. Cooked breakfasts looked great too. Definitely recommend to visit. Set in lovely surroundings.
Called in by chance on half term holiday looking for food. The cafe might have been quiet but the owners Dug and Kim were lovely. The service was excellent, and the food was lovely. The homemade ham went down a treat with the egg and chips. And the sausages were delicious and polished off in quick speed. Can also highly recommend the cookies and the tiffin. We will definitely be back when then trains are running.
This is definitely NOT a cycle friendly cafe. Arrived soaking and cold after cycling across the moors in biblically bad weather. I asked if there was somewhere we could dry our gloves and get warm. Owner said she wouldn’t put the heater on as it took time to heat up and a customer came over to offer my daughter a warm coat as she looked so cold. Food was average at best and I was violently sick after leaving, having eaten what appeared to be uncooked bacon. Stop at your own peril.
I only had a cuppa but good strong cup of tea. The food coming out from the kitchen looked excellent and the people eating it were very complimentary. Service was efficient and friendly which made for a great atmosphere. Menu price were very reasonable
Gorgeous food, delicious coffee and super friendly staff. We enjoyed a walk along the railway footpath after our lunch. We got some tiffin to take away too which was just as lovely. We'll be back!
Really comfy, friendly cafe. Dogs are welcome and even given treats. They were willing to to make a tasty sandwich with gluten free bread although not made in a gluten free environment. We had to wait 20min for the food to arrive but we were kept informed of the wait and how long it would be.
An oasis of warmth and light on a dreary October afternoon for my wife and I.
Our sandwiches were outstanding and our latte's just right. The hosts Dug and Sue made us feel welcome as soon as we entered the premises.
Over all a great place with great food highly recommended to any and all passing through.
Such a lovely cafe and very tasty ????. I was pleasantly surprised.
