Nice little cafe on upper floor of the Herringbone gift shop. In a fairly central location in Peebles.
Arrived before lunchtime and ordered at counter although table service was available. Limited menu options but offers the usual favourites: cakes, scones, sandwiches and baked potatoes.
Between us we ordered a cherry scone, Carrot Cake, pot of tea and a coffee.
The cafe also offers takeaways and the opportunity to purchase the coffee that it serves.
Price wise, it was very reasonable and the quality of tea & coffee was excellent as was the service.
If you are in Peebles it is very worthwhile taking an opportunity to visit the gift shop or cafe - you won’t be disappointed.
Wow, what a hidden gem! Tucked away above a lovely little gift shop! Bright and modern decor. Excellent quick service. Small menu choices but who needs a long lunch menu, but everything very fresh, delicious and well presented. Hope to come again when back in the area. Loved it, would highly recommend ????
Cute coffee shop, lovely staff and great lunch options! Dog friendly too :)
What a lovely place. Food was lovely and well presented. I had the tomato and basil soup which was piping hot and delicious. My sister had baked potato, also delicious.
The staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back to Peebles for lunch there again. Fabulous find, reasonable price and dog friendly ???? ???? ????
A lovely shop and nice welcome. I had a coffee "Forth Coffee Roasters" which is Roasted in Edinburgh a great coffee and was in the Forth Coffee Roasters barrel type mug fantastic I had 2 (which they served with a squat of fudge, nice touch) I also had a cheese sandwich with Branston pickle (served with salad and some crisps) followed by lemon drizzle my other half used the phrase "moist" a lot. Louise had soup and sandwich she enjoyed it a nice feel to this cafe which is upstairs and shop selling gifts and cards downstairs. The lunch was lovely and you will not be disapointed. I will definately go back. What a lovely place peebles is..... I love peebles John Buchan the author was from near here The 39 steps a film I can't ever stop watching..... They did have a museum near here to. Any way get along to peebles a lovely bunch of shops to visit as well as a lovely crystal shop house of Gaia, where Ian is another amazing chap who I love chatting to about crystals and his travels.
