Best KPortal Reviews
When this shop was under different management it was pretty dreadful but now it is excellent. Food was great - (well to be precise we only had their fish & chips but as that was really good I’m sure the rest is too!). The entire place looks spotless and the owners are particularly friendly and offer excellent service. Definitely happy to recommend.
This was a nice chip shop.
The lady was very helpfull.
Not really a chip person but the chips where perfect Defo gona come back next time i pass
Placed an order for delivery, got the wrong order and was told to contact Just Eat. Fish shop did not want to know. will not be ordering from them again. Still trying to get my money back
Fantastic Food, Wings were a 10 as well as Fat chips (with salt and vinegar) . 11/10.
Only thing I would reccomend is they invest in an Air Conditioning Unit, place gets quite hot whilst eating inside.
Overall 11/10!
Best fish I've had for decades, if not one of the best ever. Had the cod. Crispiest batter ever, looked delicious. I'm old-ish and Northern and so we know our fried fish! Moist, plump fish inside with a lovely taste and they took the skin off as requested. Even my son,; one of the fussiest eaters ever-loved the look and taste. Delightful-as far as battered cod can be lol.
Ordered saveloys, sausage in batters, chips and some curry sauce. We ordered a small chips but it came like a large, plenty there and struggled to finish them! (There was more than in the photo posted) Saw a review here saying you dont get a lot of chips and im not sure what they were thinking. The chips were nice and crispy, and very well cooked. Food arrived steaming hot and packaged nicely. Curry sauce was very tasty. Only slight issue was the saveloy was a little crispy/dry but i prefer them like that, and we asked for salt and vinegar but it didnt taste like there was any on there, luckily we had salt and vinegar at home anyway but it always tastes better when done by the chippy! We would definitely go back here, best chippy we have had in a while.
Rubbish experience with this place. Not only did they have no fresh fish, but advised I would have to wait 20 mins for skate. If you cooked skate in a deep fat fryer for 20 mins, it’d look like charcoal, taste like charcoal smell like charcoal. The old man behind the counter was very rude too. They have recently upped their prices by around 20% unlike the chip shop outside Hayes station, who coincidentally managed to not only knock up some fresh skate for me, but it was ready with delicious chips and crispy batter in around 8 minutes for less money. I know exactly where I will be going from now on.
