This pharmacy is the closest to me so I made it my nominated pharmacy for repeat prescription but will be changing to a different one.
The pharmacy is always slow even if they already have my prescription and there are 3-4 staff in.
But what is the most appalling are the prices for when you have to pay for meds.
I ran out of glucose strips (Nexus) which I get free on prescription so I was forced to pay as I needed to use one within hours. I was charged £23 for a box of 50. Everywhere you look they cost anything from £12-16.
When buying basic no name Aspirin was charged £4 for a few 75mg pills while you get the 150mg ones at boots for half the price.
Wonderful service. Very receptive and helpful on the phone, and thorough at discussing the needs and instructions for my prescription in-person. :) Thank you!
Friendly, but very slow service. Pharmacy seems run down and tired. Customer area is in urgent need of a refurbishment. Some empty shelves. Prices here for many items are more expensive than other nearby pharmacies, which I found disappointing.
Mr and Mrs Mawani are a very experienced, friendly caring pharmacists who have helped me many times i visited as my local pharmacy, great advice and always a pleasure
I arrived in London from New York with a very painful eye infection. I happened to land on a bank holiday where everything is closed. I found a (virtual) doctor who sent a prescription to a pharmacy (even though it was closed) and the most wonderful, helpful pharmacist opened just for me. His kindness was so incredible. I was even offered water to take the first antibiotic. This was truly a wonderful experience and I am grateful to have found such a caring man who truly adores hi job.
My local pharmacy, was a place I took for granted for the first 20 years at my current address: and then my husband was diagnosed with a degenerative illness, and suddenly we were plunged into a world of prescriptions for a growing list of medicines at varying dosages; The staff at the Haydons Road Pharmacy have been excellent at ordering what we need; liaising with our Practice nurses, discussing side-effects, taking back unused medicines. They show compassion for my husband and they also keep an eye on me as his carer: always a friendly chat, a shoulder to cry on or a respite cuppa: nothing is too much trouble for this independent pharmacy; for me they have become an Essential Service.
I’ve recently had a lot of issues with my usual pharmacy so found it necessary to shop around for a particular medication (control drug) that my usual pharmacy claimed not to be able to get. I spoke to a wonderful gentleman and explained what I needed and asked if he could help. He told me he would order the medication but to ring back four hours later at 4pm just to confirm he had it. Now, my usual pharmacy had this prescription for a week, and couldn’t get this important medication, yet this wonderful gentleman had it in hand when I rang a few hours later. But it wasn’t just the availability, it was also how he handled my request and just how helpful and lovely he was. As I’ve had ongoing issues with my local pharmacy, both my mum and I have decided to switch to Haydons Pharmacy as they also do deliveries (I’m disabled so this is necessary). Absolutely wonderful, I couldn’t recommend them enough!
I am very satisfied with the service at the pharmacy. Today bank holiday was not open, but the gentleman from the pharmacy opened for me to give me the prescribed medicine for my child. The people who work in the Haydons pharmacy are always kind and helpful!!!
